one of the largest sugarcane plantations them on (owned by BUA) in Nigeria is at Lafiagi, Kwara state.
Stakeholders in the industry don't need to foresee export potential for refined sugar before engaging in its production, the domestic market is large enough to absorb whatever quantity they produce to a reasonable extent.
