OGS was the right man to stabilize this gigantic ship and he has done a good job as regards that. He has assembled a squad that we believe have what it takes to compete at the highest level with the European Elites and that might have been his best part of the job so far but he doesn't have what it takes to take us to that next level.


Imo I believe the board didn't necessarily hire him to win those big titles but to stabilize the club, do a cultural reboot, map out a clear vision for the future and lay the ground work for whoever will take over from him.

Like someone pointed out yesterday that he can't see OGS going toe to toe over 38 matches with the likes of Pep and Klopp and coming out with the highest point total at the end of the season and I agree because those guys are levels above him both in experience and tactical nous.

Unless he proves us wrong which I'm all for it, the board shouldn't be renewing his contract.
