So we got this young girl as a help, and graciously pay her well every month(30k). She doesn't buy anything as feeding accommodation and toiletries are provided for her. Her job description is basically cooking and keeping the house neat. And also at least someone to be home with the kids (2 of em) when dad and mum are off to work.
We noticed long tiny cuts on my daughters skin a month after the help came.
My wife shows me and me being a skeptic, attributed it to maybe my daughter scratching herself. I ask my wife that we observe further. It happens again, long tiny cuts on her skin. Its never happened before the coming of the help. I call for calm, and it happens again, on the back of her neck. My wife is furious, she goes bedlam and confronts the suspected witch. She doesn't answer my wife, but it never happens again after the confrontation. Yesterday I noticed same tiny cuts on the suspected witch's neck. I ask her and she just waves it off, that she felt it when she was bathing, its a pepperish feeling. I know that cause it also happened to me in boarding school and even in my University days. I have been advised to send her packing..., What's the science behind such phenomenon? What's it called?

Many things have been attributed to it. Some say it is cockroach, others say it is cobweb or Gecko. While some superstious persons say it is witch. Infact someone else says it is spiritual spouse.

At the moment, I still experience it but not so much like it used to.

Like someone pointed up there, I don't use nail cutter for my nails, I usually use my teeth. Maybe that is what responsible for it

Its sad people calling me primitive, vile and all sorts of debasing names. I blame you not, you don't know. If you knew you keep mute. My children's nails are well manicured ever since the incident. These phenomenon happened to me twice in my uni days, I was about entering my guardians house to say hello. I felt a sharp cut on my skin, this was broad daylight. I checked it out and saw a lil fluid ooze out of the cut. My instincts said I should turn and look behind me, I did only to see my neighbours wife staring fixed eyed at me from her window. My Spirit knew she was responsible. I did the needful and it never ever happened again. She dreaded me.
They are a lot of spiritual things happening that the physical man won't comprehend. It is pure demonism at play. Stay close to the Almighty God through prayer and righteousness and watch how God fights for you.

No rashes at all. Her nails are well manicured. Its not a case of her scratching her skin. These are single long straight line cuts. Not jagged as per may be caused by mistakenly scratching ones skin with sharp nails.

Thanks for the name calling. May God have mercy on you. The Child has finished SS3 and written her WAEC. She learnt tailoring before coming to work for us. The agreement was for her to help around the house in the most minimal of ways. I use a washing machine so laundry isn't tough work. She mops the house twice a week, sweeps and cooks. She has a room to herself. She collects her wages monthly (30k). How could we be more vile to a human than that? We take her as our own daughter and sister and never treat her as a help. What d 4rk do you want us to do again? Your just an impossible fellow.

Seriously, I don't believe in such. Meanwhile I do pray very well.

I have done research on it I found out many people experienced it all around the world. One guy on Qeura said his was caused by allergy, especially when he eats groundnut and since when he got medication and avoid eating groundnut, he never returned.

I understand in Africa if we experience something we cannot explain scientifically, we quickly term it spiritual. I do not subscribe to such idea.

Look out for bed bugs or similar agents given the timing of occurrence was after the arrival of the maid.
As the child is likely to be in close contact with the maid's luggage or bed linen, it makes for easy contact.

Might also explain why the maid has features now.
