Hello good people,

Please i need a quick help, am filling the form for my niece to come for a visit, at the declaration part should i declare that she's the one submitting the form as she's over 18 or pick that am submitting the form for her? Also is total of £750 ok to put as amount to use in sponsoring her, am just buying her ticket and small change for get to buy stuffs when going back to naija.

Also since she's a student and has no savings to sponsor herself can i put £1 in the question that asked how much she had personally, can't skip and it's not accepting 0?
Thanks
If she is over 18, she is meant to complete her form or at least allude to doing so....
as for the rest of your questions, you are on the right track.

Happy Sunday to all the gurus in the house. Thank you for your support so far, and I pray for those expecting their visa to be given as well. Please kindly advise, in my last application I stated total income imonthly is 288k inclusive of other income of investment. I also stated my expenses is not constant sometimes low or high, and I stated N112.000 as expense monthly. I was given d 6months visa,if am to renew I tend to reduce my expenses as my huby do give me cash for little miscellaneous upkeep. Or are mine to remain on expenses of the same N112k I used for my previous application . Will this be any challenge if I reduced my expenses.. Thank you for your advise .
Your expenses can change ofcourse.

Just apply when all of this is over or probably if you are going to see a friend or a family member. The refusal u got is straight forward, since the purpose of ur trip is touristing, and the places are closed, there is no reason to grant u visa for THIS reason u mentioned.
I am sure at your next application and hopefully COVID is over, then u will be approved

Pls help

Ok, am here filling this form and am stuck at a few questions, please help. Application for visit MIL

1. What is your employment status? - I've put unemployed (She is Pastor), so its voluntary work . Is this correct?

2. Do you have another income or any savings? Answer Other regular income - is this right? she gets some monthly stipends from us but it isn't same amount each month. Does she have to declare this or just put no other income? considering she won't be supplying her bank statements
3. How much money are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the UK? I couldn't skip this bit. so I have put £1 /#1 (she will be fully sponsored for this trip) - is the answer correct?

Thank you for answering in advance

See scam!! Why would they continue to accept applications from intending tourists knowing fully well that tourist attractions are not opened at the moment in the UK? You just have to complain about this decision because it's totally unacceptable.

I presume you are coming to the UK, if so; it should be 72 hours before departure. So you want to do the test on the 4th of Feb in the morning... If your test result comes out in 48 hours on the 6th of February; by the time you travel, it will be close to 60+ hours before departure...
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by chrisj2(m): 5:29pm On Feb 01, 2021
I should also add a serious note or warning about the Covid Test in Nigeria... Most of the test centres want to give you the result in 72 hours... Some of the test centres send their samples for analysis in Lagos or Abuja...

You should make sure you find a laboratory that can give you the test result in 48 hours. Any more than that will lead to stress because it will be on your day of travel and past working hours.

So, if can choose a test centre in Lagos that can deliver 24 to 48 hours, great. Also be ready to give some tips/bribe to make sure you get your result because you will not board the plane without a negative covid test to show.

- The onus is on the intending tourist to check if the places you indicated to visit in the UK are opened.

That is not the job of ukvi.

So yes, they’ll keep accepting applications.

Cc @cyclops
U are right. Cyclops send an email for reconsideration. U will win on this technicality.
They could have simply closed the room to tourist applications. This is not grounds for refusal
If u are closing ur borders to tourists u should say so from the get go and not take their money at all.

There’s no harm and another officer will look into your request.

This is not true. The onus is not on anyone. As long as the Govt has not come out to say we are not welcoming tourists or visa services for tourists are suspended, then there is no onus on anyone.
Your officers are working at your visa outlets and tourist applications are still going on, this is not any backyard business.
If you dnt want them, put out a statemnt like the US etc

What’s not true about it?

If you were to go on a vacation during a pandemic, would you not at least be sure To check if the centres are opened and accepting tourists?

Ukvi will continue accepting applications because people are travelling for different reasons.

Someone just lost visa fee and now have a refusal on their record , what did the Decision maker lose ? Lol

Hello House.please I'm here again. Thanks to those that take their time to answer all questions. I submitted my mum's 6 months visit visa application last week. Her passport is due to expire in May, please is that an automatic refusal. I checked visit visa requirements on gov website and it only stated that you need a passport with validity for your travel dates, hence why I used the passport like that. A friend is telling me now they may not grant her the visa because 6 months will fall after the expiry date of the passport. Please will this truly be an issue. My plan is for her to renew the passport before she comes here and hold both passports.

Hello House. My mum got her six months validity visit visa today despite using a passport due to expire in May. Many thanks to everyone who answered one question or the other regarding my parents application. Dad's passport is yet to be delivered by DHL. Hopefully tomorrow.

Documents submitted
Dad's letter of retirement
Proof of business reg for both of them
Bank statements
Cover letter stating their employment status and why they are visiting (our reason was to come and see our daughter whom they haven't seen since her birth)
Children birth certificate (All my siblings)
Picture of them and us together

From our part
Hubby's bank statement/payslip
Proof of accommodation
Letter of invitation stating we will fully sponsor
Resident permits
Our child's birth certificate

Fake Covid certificates!
Covid-19: Criminals are selling fake test certificates, Europol says
Europol, the EU's law enforcement agency, has issued a warning that criminals are selling fake negative Covid-19 test certificates.
The fear is this could enable people to cheat travel restrictions.
It comes as an investigation by BBC News has found falsified NHS certificates for sale online.

There are also ones from clinics in Nigeria sold in forums used by organised crime groups

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by chrisj2(m): 8:24pm On Feb 01, 2021
Using fake covid test is not worth the risk. You spend so much money to get to the point of needing a Covid test, why spoil things and waste even more money or have your VISA cancelled?

One should use the NITP recommended government the at centres - they can be found on the Travel Portal. Also, make sure the test centre can deliver your test in 48 hours if the recommended pre-departure is 72 hours.

My mum has been refused twice , and now i am pregnant and due in april i am about to make another shot (this time with my hubby and i fully sponsoring her). I hope all goes well for me. When you were filling the form by the way, since your parents were fully sponsored by u nd hubby what did u put in for the part that inquires on how much they will be spending?

I think most of the results from accredited centers have qr codes. (Mine had qr code)
Your airline will scan it before boarding you.

My application was made before the lock down, I have now written both complaints emails. Got an automated message to wait for 20 working days, Atleast this refusal is better than waiting endlessly with no response. I ll keep the house posted if any progress. Otherwise I will reapply later after the lockdown. Thanks to everyone

Yes I put lol because you said “the onus is not on anyone”.

Well, “anyone” will lose a lot of application fees.

9 times out of 10, if the eco isn’t satisfied that you’re a genuine visitor, you’ll get refused.

The point is they WONT stop accepting applications.
