dawnomike: Yes, Nigeria COVID case is not the worst, but I guess you didn’t read the entire article. COVID case, however little it is, if mixed with corruption is a deadly disease. Nigeria have a way of circumventing the rules, I watched a documentary the other day, apparently you can secure a positive COVID test results from some testing sites in Nigeria, without visiting them. All that is needed is a phone call and exchange of money and someone else will stand in your place to submit samples to be tested and you will get the results in your names. Despite the hype about not traveling without a negative test in Nigeria, this guy was allowed to travel from Nigeria without his results....and I doubt if non of the many security checkpoints at the Nigeria Airport who are suppose to check for compliance didn’t question this guy and know the fact that he didn’t have the right documents, but he was allowed through anyway. |

linearity: Nigeria may be underreporting its cases due to limited testing capacity outside of Lagos. Hopefully Delta will comment on it soon |

dawnomike: Did you check the merits of the ban. If passengers were to present a certification of clean health before travelling, how then did our fellow Nigerian get onboard the plane without any result. It means Nigeria is getting noticed for wrong/sharp practices especially at government establishments. And I don't think any nation would want to put their business or citizenry at risks because of the misdemeanor of another country. If you've passed through our airports, you might have seen what officials do. Peace... |

tricksters:You just made a senseless reply, the Akwa Ibom you used as a reference point is not even developed when compared with it's huge mineral resources. Nobody is dissociating the state governors from the underdevelopment of the states but what I am saying is that since we copied the federal system of government from the US, we should also run the system the way they do it over there of which state autonomy is part of it. You can't blame totally blame a state governor for the security failure in his state because he is helpless, even the building of roads is not totally his duty. |

As all other airlines will make a stop in their country of origin before proceding to Dubai this will make the Nigerian passengers only fly Emirates.Nice way to take out the competition without violating any rules. Only airlines based in Nigeria can otherwise operate as well if any. |
