Fear those who make constant reference to the Bible, they are tyrants in the same vein as their deity. Udom Emmanuel is such a person. I find it odd that this is how they treat somebody for facebook comments but the evil pastor whose church collapsed (and killed people) after it was built illegally was handled with kid gloves. |

Ükáñ nyin esebo ke inuen afudõke ke enyonñ, ikpad ase'wôd isõñ. I am not in support of government's treatment of the young man, because his fundamental human rights has been infringed upon. My concern rather, is his indiscriminate insult showered on elders of the state, both clergymen and senior citizens in the name of criticism. The point is he doesn't even stay in the country, so he did himself more harm than good. If you want to speak up against some policies of government or attitudes of your elders, our African tradition and Christian religion teaches that you do that with all amount of respect, regard and decorum. There is what is known as "constructive criticism". He failed in that angle. Having said that, I'm now calling for his immediate release from detention ASAP! 1 Like |

post=98688104:I do follow your comments and support certain things you say but sometimes u do not exercise logic and reasonability. Is a man of God suppose to throw you in prison, revenge by dealing with you or is he supposed to forgive. Didn't Jesus Christ show us a good example of the authentic life a deacon, pastor ought to live. The government and those in authority have identity in the Bible, let me quote:Romans 13 New Living Translation Respect for Authority 13 Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. 2 So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished. 3 For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you. 4 The authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God’s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong. 5 So you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience. 6 Pay your taxes, too, for these same reasons. For government workers need to be paid. They are serving God in what they do. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: Pay your taxes and government fees to those who collect them, and give respect and honor to those who are in authority. Do the government of akwa ibom be said to do what is right by keeping a man illegally in detention for more than a month due to criticism against those in authority?? Why hasn't he not been charged to court during the constitutional period limited period of 24 hours. We both are not happy when Nigeria is referred to as zoo Republic but we aid and abet the government to misbehave and do and how contrary to law and order , democratic norms that grow a country |

Trendy247: No be lie o! It's good to listen to both sides of the story. With this video it's enough for the deputy governor to file for threat to life. Zion threatens to beat him up in the US, dares the Akwa Ibom government to arrest him as he visits. Very childish. What was he expecting? Guy don buy market. Remember there's freedom of speech but no guarantee of freedom after speech. Zion ain't smart, he shouldn't have visited. Now they'll just mess him up big time. |

Who the hell is he? What cause is he fighting for? Ogbeni do not go & be fighting your country's battles except it's a general battle of redemption where we bare our souls and fight with no fear nor tension (Eg ENDSARS). If he's fighting for a group of people let his supporters speak not only his wife then we real niggars will judge if the fight is worth going into Cos real niggars act logically DenreleDave: |

I will say it for the upteenth time - NIGERIA IS IRREDEEMABLE!!! I wonder what gives some people hope that Nigeria will change for the better. Here, abnormal is celebrated as normal while normal is vilified and ridiculed. The bad system which has refused to change and advantageous to the vile section of the populace will fight any and every attempt to run it in righteousness. Lastly, prayers would not solve our problem. We need to reclaim the country by violence, bloodshed and unified affirmative action by a significant majority. Question is, who is ready to die |

One would assume that with Udom's educational qualifications and quality work experience, he will be different from other career politicians. Unfortunately, that's not the case with the religious big-tongued Idi Amin. 1 Like |

mmsen: I never expected anything to come out from that investigation. Generally, religious people in Nigeria are hypocrites and conduct the worst of atrocities. It's worse in a place like Akwa Ibom where they cannot be questioned. The so-called deacon is in cahoots with the religious clerics in the state with their kingpin known as Ntai Ntai. 2 Likes |
