Avoid avoid. No jobs there. They already have a 50 percent youth unemployment rate for their own citizens. |

Botswana doesn't seem like a place for small businessmen or the average Joe. If you have engineering, med, or other in-demand and universal training, I would suggest exploring opportunities to work there through NGOs. But outside of that, I don't see it. I could be wrong though. Btw Botswana seems fun. Even if you never live there, you could probably have a great time there. |

starbn: If you are making a travelling history and site seeing as you claimed then you shouldn’t be asking questions about hustling in Botswana. Enjoy your tourism, spend your money, get souvenirs and come back home. |

KosiGee: My brother the truth is that my primary aim is GO there and seen things by myself. I have tried securing visa for Europe or American but all denied. I think Botswana could be a gateway. 1 Like 1 Share |

starbn: You are taking a big risk. Do not go to or travel to places that you are not sure of. Take this advice the way you’d take your father’s advice. If you haven’t sorted your accommodation, jobs and employment when you arrive Botswana, do not make that journey. This is the reason our people go into crimes out of frustration because it’ll definitely come. You’d be homeless, hungry with no money. I’m 80% sure that you are Igbo like me. The risks we take when travelling is out of this world. I’ve seen our people in places you’d not expect them to be. Please sort your accommodation and make sure your employment and residency is sorted before you make that journey. Canada needs Nigerians but you have to be qualified and fulfil the necessary requirements...same as Australia, New Zealand. If you are in the medical field, this might be the time to start thinking of looking for jobs in the UK. Disregard the bad news about UK, it’s a very nice place to be. Get that Gaborone nonsense out of your mind. That’s not a place to hustle. 6 Likes 1 Share |

starbn: Seriously, it's not a wise decision. Have you considered Senegal or other nearby countries? They're a lot better for small businessmen. Also, there's decent (west) Euro countries where you can study free. Have you explored that? There's also (west) Euro countries where tuition is very low, and being a small businessman or doing modest jobs can work for you. |

Cousin9999: like which Euro country bro. I was like going Gambia but change mind for Botswana as they have visa free to most Europe. |

starbn: There's lots of great info in this section and the Education section. Just avoid east Europe, Asia (west, east, central, and south), Polynesia (poverty), and all the northeast African countries with high arab populations. Australia and New Zealand are obviously exceptions. |
