Hello gurus, I have few questions, am about to start my study route application, I have a degree in environmental Biology, my last work experience was a biology teacher in a school, but I want to do masters in biology science not education 1) should I include my last work experience seeing that it doesn't relate with what I want to study 2) is Wassce needed? As I only have my neco result and that's what I used for my university admission. 3) I will need a detailed information on all the documents needed to secure admission as well as visa documents. |

JustMellow: The course on my LOA says bachelor of science which is not a specific course and I cannot build on that in my SOP because it is too general; memorial only allows all science students to declare their major after 1 year of study. Please Can I indicate in my sop that I intend to declare my major to biology after my first year because that is the university’s requirement

slimy205: .... Apparently because there might NOT be a slot awarded for submission of Medicals, (Only if it was requested via your NSE invite), an alternative solution would be to raise a webform and attach the medical slip you were given at your medical appointment. That been said, if you can also send an email message and attach same medical slip to the designated Commission, which should be Nairobi to keep them on them toes... You can also send emails as some Honorable members have previously suggested and I have managed to gather some IRCC Office's email addresses; beijing-immigration@international.gc.ca ganzu-immigration@international.gc.ca nrobi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca nairobi@international.gc.ca nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca accraimmigration@international.gc.ca ldnimmigration@international.gc.ca london-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca abu-dhabi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca lagos.immigration@international.gc.ca ankara-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca It will surely end in praise. 1 Like |

VObalogun: That's the same thing for me .Exactly the same I mean your faculty and all for Memorial .I just wrote in my SOP it's the foundation for my journey in being a pediatrician I focused more on my goals and why I want to be that then how I plan to go to medicine school and specialise .You'd have to narrow it down to the specific course you're doing and say how memorial is good for research programmes and how broad their faculty in the sciences is broad .That's what I did tho .I hope it helps |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Deohlarh20: 12:58am On Feb 05, 2021 |
Deohlarh20: I remember also asking the admission team if I could pick a specified course and if I can remember I think it's until we want to register for our classes or so we'd be allowed to pick .Can't remember her exact words . |

Bheey1:That's not true, people who go for PGC do get Study VISA, there are loads of them in this forum The thing is Apart from an Applicant going for a Program related to his degree or work experience, an applicant ought to show Progression in the qualification of Program he/she is going for e.g - B.SC grad (2.1) going for a Masters - B.SC grad (2.2) & HND graduate going for a PGC - M.SC grad going for PH.D If you have a 2.1 and you want to go for a PG. Cert, endeavor to show cogent reasons in a convincing manner in your SOP why you are going for a PG. Cert instead of a Masters Degree. In your case, Academic Progression wise, it is expected of you to go for a Program related to a Mass com degree, going for a program unrelated to your first degree can bring about Wrong Purpose of Visit (study) to Canada and that can cause a red flag to your Visa Application. You might be unable to convince a Visa Officer that you want to go for a Program you have no Academic Background or Work experience in, a Visa Officer can easily assume you want to elope to Canada via the Study Route, reason why it's advisable to go for a Program that is in line with your Degree or Work Experience. Your 2.2 in Mass Comm can give you admission in a PG. Cert in Journalism program Do a thorough research (google) on the following Mass Comm related program (PG. Cert in journalism) in Canadian Colleges & check their Admission, Tuition amount for international students, course outlines etc., then make a choice on the one that suites you - PG. Cert in journalism & Communication Holland College, Prince Edward Island https://www.hollandcollege.com/programs/journalism-and-communications-post-graduate-certificate.html#program1 - PG Cert, Broadcast journalism – Television News Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology, London, ON PG. Cert in journalism – New Media Sheridan College, Oakville, ON journalism (Postgraduate) Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning, Toronto, ON PG. Cert in journalism – Arts and Entertainment Centennial College, Toronto, ON Sports journalism (PG. Cert) Centennial College, Toronto, ON PG. Cert in Contemporary journalism Centennial College, Toronto 1 Like |

[ The company cannot give me a salary certificate. It's after probation am entitled to salary which will be paid into my bank account and a paystub will be issued with necessary pension scheme and benefits. Fortunately for me it's after my full confirmation that I requested for a study leave. What I did was to ask the HR to issue me the following to justify my weekly cash payment. .1. A written letter by the HR that clearly shows I was on weekly stipend with free accommodation before my study leave approval and that I will be entitled to a full salary payment with other benefit when I return to the company after study. 2. It's also written clearly in my employment letter that I was on stipend during my probation with free accommodation and transportation to work. 3. Regarding my personal saving in the local multipurpose organization that I asked you about initially. I am not using the cooperative to proof my financial stability in Canada. I am just using them to clarify the VO on y my account doesn't show money received from work over. The society have transferred to my commercial bank through their organization account first installment payment of my savings which is 200k. I have also attached my statement of account in the cooperative society to justify where the money comes from and my remaining balance. Since it is a cooperate account it also appear in my bank statement the cooperative society account name as description of money transfer. In addition I have attached my sponsor account statement. Finally regarding the my bank statement certificate, I am hearing it for the first time. Please sir does it mean printing out statement of account from bank is not accepted any more or is it the same thing? Oga frank do u think this should do well in justifying my case regarding the cash stipend as well as my pof quote author=Frankrobbn1 post=98731418] Your work reference letter should corroborate that you're being paid in Cash in your current place of work. The amount you earn on a monthly basis and per annum. This letter must be duly endorsed by the HR manager of the company. Also, include payment receipt/voucher and salary certificate to support your cash salary payment. It's highly advisable you present a bank statement from a commercial bank considering the new era of IRCC requesting for mybank statement certificate from Nigerian students after few weeks of applying for visa. I hope this information satisfies your enquiry. It will end in praise.[/quote] |

Hello guys, please I have a question. I recently applied for a one year PGD in Niagara College and I’m waiting on my admission letter. However, I am taking out time to read through the previous trends. I am confused on the difference between a study permit and TRV? Would I have to apply for this separately or are they one and the same. Please, someone should direct me to a part of the trend where I can find answers or better still explain, I will truly appreciate. 1 Like |
