I'm frustrated staying at home doing nothing, I was working from August to October which I stopped because I had to travel back to our base. since I got back I have been hunting job, the one that called me for an interview will still not employ me due to I haven't gone for service.

I finished school 2019 which we did our project defense on January 2020and I did some clearance before the strike and the whole thing.

I was called for an interview on Monday this week for a job i applied on November after the oral interview section, they were concerned about the fact that I haven't gone for service and may leave anytime.

Please I need a job, I need something I can be doing for the main time. my location is Umuahia Abia State, anyone with job offer I will really appreciate.

You'll not see a job, truth be told... Because, agencies are afraid of inconsistent workers.....




But, you can go into. market nd see if you can get a sells girl job around your community.... or take a volunteering job where you can make tips from it....


You just have to go out and discuss with people that can point fingers to the right direction...

Seriously it's tiring and devastating... I can relate because I am in the same situation...

The last place I submitted my application, the moment the manager got to find out that I am a PCM, he just said we will get back to you..

I haven't given up yet... I still believe that something good is in the way.

Na wa oo.. Is it only me that see job as a deadend.!!?

I've been in such situation before.

Most employers don't take PCMs cos they're afraid of you leaving after they might have invested in you

I'll suggest you change location to somewhere like Lagos..... there are tons of companies that will hire you

You can also find writing gigs online, write and get paid

Or learn to sell digital products on your WhatsApp and Facebook......this one has money in it once you've mastered the art

about relocating it's not possible now, I do market for some people which I get small amount from it even though the service is not always.

same thing happened to me just of recent. after blasting the exam, i was called for interview. Immediately they got to know I'm a PCM, even i myself could read it on their face that they don't want me. I even tried to explain to them that i will work my service to the organization, but it all went on deaf ears. I'm seriously tired, i just need something doing. i don too broke!!!

no company is willing to take that risk but it's your duty to convince them. As a PCM, tell the company you can redeploy while the company will be ur PPA.

The only thing the company need to give you is the offer letter and the compulsory 3weeks (dunno if it's still up to 3weeks). And that's all you need.

Getting a job as a PCM is relatively hard but nevertheless it's not impossible because i got a job the first month as a corp member and I was retained even after my service. Tho i don't have any job openings for you now, i might as well assist you in looking for vacancies that will fit your specifications and also guide you tru life hacks. Tell them you dont ever want to serve. Either you tell them the insecurity in the country won't make you serve or that you dont believe in the country in the first place. That way you'll be considered, it's not the certificate they want but that you'll leave soon.

For me, i hate the NYSC scheme and i believe it should be scrapped and I'm ready to defend my stance anywhere. Although i have an exemption.

yes they were much concerned on me leaving soon, will keep hunting for job
