SeunAdeniyi1: This will even make it worse. You can't force confidence. If people don't have confidence in the Naira, it's not stupid orders like this that would force them to. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Are you saying if crypto stops now, all these criminal activities will stop? Which day crypto come out here that day? SeunAdeniyi1: Crypto currency strengthens naira With Crypto currency, there less demand for Crude Oil based Nigerian Forex and dollars, less demand for forex means more dollars in our foreign reserves and more Money for Goverment to spend on infrastructure Now if we kill Crypto, everybody who uses crypto would head to CBN or BDC to buy Dollars leading to shortage and price increase . 14 Likes |

excellence44: Wrong. Infact it will drive a lot more transactions to the black market. The CBN is fighting effects rather than causes. The major cause has simply been the lack of confidence in the long term value of the Naira. If they like keep giving moronic orders, people would still rather hold dollars and crypto than Naira. 17 Likes |

MisterGrace: They say the country is like this because our leaders are incompetent. I think it is by design, they don't want the middle class to actually have spending power. The poorer we are, the easier it is to buy votes for one bag of rice. I've been at home for a year because of the strike. Now they no wan allow me turn 5k to 10k again? 1 Like |

Instead of the Govt to provide support and regulation framework for individual and entities in bitcoin crypto exchange they are shutting out populace of future digital business opportunity. I can't blame the CBN because bitcoin innovation is just like internet in early 2000. Very soon everyone will have crypto digital assets with or without regulation. Only time will tell. 8 Likes |
