Testmi just sent the second stage aptitude test report to NCDMB today.

No info yet about the next stage yet.

The report was classified according to percentile for each discipline advertised. I have the feelings that NCDMB would only call the required top candidates for each role.

As it stands, there is nothing like quota system for this stage but I'm sure it would come in place after the interview which might not be evenly distributed across all states/zones BTW but performance based.

This recruitment is meant for the best out of the best.

Any idea of the percentile ? Especially engineering.

They can't employ 100, it is too damn little. Even DPR employed triple of that number and if I am not mistaken, I am not sure DPR has more staff strength that NCDMB..

It can never be 100. A brand new head office building with 17 floors, 5 zonal offices in other states and 2 liaison offices in the administrative and commercial capitals of the country. This is not factoring their other projects and future expansion plans into other sectors.
I don't believe that number. If it were 100, they could have easily gotten them from the pool of candidates they train in their programs without having to go through the rigours of this recruitment process.

Also bear in mind that, just like in NNPC, engineers and lawyers do not earn the same thing......my point is pay is not same for everybody (all professions).

In summary, NCDMB is a dream job in Nigeria. I imagine only IOCs pay better.

If a third test will be coming, it must be skill/functional test.

Well this direct to APL i see often, will they just pick an EH for example, without interviewing to know if he/she actually has the experience or not....will they just assume based on whatever was submitted online during application!...I don't seem to get it.

My brother unfortunately you are not alone in not getting it right.

The speculations been generated here is outrightly more than that of Nigerian Stock Exchange and that of America 's Newyork Wall Street.

Therefore, so long as you are in it, then be ready enough to expect either : 3rd Test, Interview, Direct APL, Transfer of service and anything that has to do with everything.

Lol....I disagree with your first point 100%. No reputable company hires you based on only the assessment of a third party.......that’s even more impossible in the capital intensive oil and gas industry. Your passing a written assessment doesn’t ensure your suitability for the role. And let’s face it, the fact that this assessment is virtual makes it a lot difficult to be wholly relied on. There just must be another metric to verify competence. The employer has to be directly involved at some point coz they know the realities of the roles better......so they can assess suitability better.

It doesn’t matter if there are several processes, they must achieve their objective. Nobody is giving you a job because you need a job.......a job exists because a problem/vacuum exists at some point. Reputable companies follow up processes to make sure you can actually solve the Problem. It’s risky to entirely commit that to a third party.

Also, if you ask any NCDMB staff about this process (the ones who know), they will tell you it hasn’t gotten back to them. That they only outsourced the initial stage.
