oluikotun: Same here bro. I was refused with a flimsy excuse. Like it’s one month’s disposable income I intend to use for vacation. My issue is I had already purchased a non refundable ticket to the UK last year (before Covid) and it expires Dec 2021. So I’m torn between replying and giving up and forfeiting the ticket. I need advice. |

please help me clarify so i understand the process. For the assisted service at Ikeja, after the documents are scanned by them, do they still keep the documents (original/photocopies)? Obviously the passport is taken, what else please and what's returned to you on the day of biometrics? Thank you |

Good evening house Thanks to all gurus for ur advices given to me on Wednesday Here is the outcome So yesterday I went to an immigration lawyer to explain wat happened so he told me that he's 99% sure that my agent tempered with my bank statement that theres no way embassy or bank wld make such mistake..so he now asked me to go back to my agent to ask him once again if he did anything on it b4 we take any step on my visa....I left the immigration office, went to my agent on getting to his office I was told he was not around while waiting for him outside I got a call from a friend working in the bank that I should send a mail to gtb concerning the issue...I sent the mail after 30mins I got a call from my acct officer nd asked me to send the bank statement I used for my application..I sent it immediately. After 2 hrs I received an email from gtb and got another call from my acct officer. The first question he asked was that who uploaded the statement for me I told him an agent he now said the agent tempered with it that he added some figures to it which was not on the original statement that they av cross checked the one embassy sent nd the one I sent to him....I started crying immediately I called my agent, he picked nd I asked him if he tempered with...cud u believe this guy denied again it was at that point I tot of arresting him...fast forward we got him arrested around 5pm in the evening but got bailed out same day...I regretted using an agent..Pls house this should serve as an example to everyone planning to use an agent ooo...I have learnt my lessons oooo Pls my question is with what happened now, can I still apply to Dublin probably next year? Pristinegold: Irish embassy is more crazier than the UK embassy so think twice before wasting money cos they have ur infos automatically .... Your agent has gotten you in a big shit and I am sure alot of people would learn from your case. Did you know some agents cannot even write their names? did you also know some agents wouldnt use Fake Accounts for their personal Visa applications? Did you know 80% of agents has never stepped out of this country? Na facts you hear so oooo. 6 Likes |

hilariouscandy: Apply with genuine documents n preferably a salary account of atleast 250k+ monthly. Even if you are self employed, the easiest way to get your Visa is to place yourself on salary.... 2 Likes |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Sego12345: 3:30am On Feb 06, 2021 |
Thestyleplug: The reason for denial is not flimsy, its stated that irregular deposit which cannot be verified. I will advice that you use your account strictly for salary deposit and take other deposit which cannot be explained or have unverifiable source to another account, so your statement of account can be straight forward. 2 Likes |

Pristinegold: Next year will be okay so you don't look desperate but make sure you are doing it yourself and with the right documents. Expect a lot of scrutiny in another embassy because they will discover your past and most importantly be truthful in all your visa applications. Improve on your travel history to some visa free or visa on arrival countries before applying to Ireland. I wish you best of luck in your future endeavour. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 4:21am On Feb 06, 2021 |
Ireland visa to get am is not even that easy, then u have chop 10 years ban from their brother UK, hmmm. Anyways this is a great lesson. I knew all along this was what was happening from the get go. Even when u kept saying the passport was refusing to come out, and you mentioned agent, sorry sha. Pristinegold: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 4:29am On Feb 06, 2021 |
Sanmigbola:Well I can only comment on the part of saying u have family after the application and not before, there’s no rule that says you must be in contact with all ur relatives from A to Z. I have genuinely seen families reconnected years later and when it was time to answer this question to homeoffice as to why u didnt declare such family member on app form, as long as ECO chops ur explanation plus or minus evidence of this, then u are good to go. However honesty is always the best policy. As for visa app and what they pick and do not pick out, I dnt know. I have my high postulations from what I see happen periodically that’s all. Further more as long as you kept to the terms of the pre existing visa and can still prove your home ties to Nigeria, then you have fairer chances. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 4:36am On Feb 06, 2021 |
hilariouscandy:It’s not going to be easy but it’s doable. Only one lady on this thread have I seen with ban that got a visa after the 10 years and even then the application was not straight forward. She was still bounced 2 or 3 times after the 10 yr ban, she only got the visa when she applied for reconsideration via email as it was obvious the denials were flimsy and probably because she serviced a ban. More like the officers handling her visa cases didnt still trust her even though it was 10 yrs after. I mean this is normal. Someone tried to game your system and got caught, even if they come back better you will still be skeptical towards them. I also remember she had stronger ties due to 3 children and a good salary 10 years after. So work on ur ties, u have shown deception before and as such your application will be very much scrutinized. 1 Like |

Pristinegold: What a story............ this is nothing but medication after death. They warned us all about agents but some will not listen |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 12:20pm On Feb 06, 2021 |
Ashirioluwa:Our people can't stop because it ‘clicks’ for some people. I tire for this kain mentality! There is 1 of them on this thread, all documents from the beginning to the end were forged by agents, when he hadn't heard from embassy he came here to cry out. I won’t mention the moniker for obvious reasons. Surprisingly months later he got the visa.. he even came back to us to give testimony lol.. so with people like this and stories like this our ppl will blindly follow these agents, forgetting that ban is real once you are caught. The ban just stains your immigration profile for years which is highly unnecessary. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Cyberknight: 12:26pm On Feb 06, 2021 |
Pristinegold: Do not. Save your money. The Irish are very difficult (I've lived in Dublin before), they share info with the UK, and I would assess your chances of getting an Irish visa at zero. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by DAramis: 1:03pm On Feb 06, 2021 |
Cyberknight: Zero That is a mild way of putting it. From what people have said on the group (about being difficult to get), if it is possible self, Dublin might slam her extra 10yrs ban just because their neighbour slammed same for her application documents being forged documents. Best option is to look towards Middle East countries, African countries and Asian countries to build travel history and apply to UK after 10 years (fact). Also, from what I have seen on the thread, US, Canada, Ireland, probably European schengen countries share data with each others. Australia and New Zealand share with each other but don't know if they share with those other mentioned countries. NB: I have not applied for UK visa neither have I visited one but from the knowledge which I have gained from following some travel threads on Nairaland. |

Sego12345: I understand bro. I uses my account for daily in and out transactions but waiting for a whole 6 month to build another account statement sounds like a long journey to me.. Do you have any advice how i can support the irregular flow on this particular account with Documents? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Sego12345: 3:58pm On Feb 06, 2021 |
Thestyleplug: You must be ready to write a cover letter detailing the transactions with evidence but its a 50:50 chance, if not written well. To avoid story that touches the heart I will advice you make your statement of account straight forward. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Sego12345: 4:07pm On Feb 06, 2021 |
Christabeliciou: Calculate 72 hours backwards to your departure time to know when to take the test. Likely questions is dependent on the mood of the uk border force officer but most especially be current with covid 19 regulations in your host community. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Thestyleplug: 4:07pm On Feb 06, 2021 |
Sego12345: To avoid stories that touch heart? Do you mean i can get a ban if not supporting well? The last time I applied was last year October and i think its right time to give it a try again. Tho i do make some deposit into the account every week with the business name I claimed i work as a depositor and there are other irregular flows because i uses my account for p2p trades |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Sego12345: 4:28pm On Feb 06, 2021 |
@ pristinegold Nothing is impossible like i said earlier improve on your travel history and home ties. Apply to any embassy (excluding UK) irrespective of the fact that they share database or not but don't apply now so you won't look desperate. Most importantly use genuine documents and be truthful. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Sego12345: 4:33pm On Feb 06, 2021 |
Thestyleplug: You can't get a ban as long as your documents are genuine but the issue is for you to know how to explain yourself so you don't get refused. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Thestyleplug: 4:42pm On Feb 06, 2021 |
Sego12345: And That’s the only issue i am having now bro, before applying again. How to write and support irregular flows on the account with documents before applying. |

@giselle237 Please do you have any tips and tricks for a non-medical professional that one could apply to land a Tier 2 sponsored job in the UK? I believe it's a little bit challenging applying for such from Nigeria. Your ideas and opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Greetings everyone. I want to enquire about migrating to the UK to start a tech startup, i have researched about the visas and according to what i found, the visas to get a permit to start a business seems tedious. Can someone please help with the process, how much involved(visa fees, proof of funds), and if you have any knowledge about this specific issue, you can please share it. Thanks |
