It's my first time on this thread,
Tho I still wonder how pple actually prefer DC to Marvel...
DC movies are too cringe-like for me, both their series (Except WatchMen), I enjoy only their animations, and sense of humor in their movies looks forced

i like that scene. I like how they didn't make zod beat jor-el at first, as it shows that jor-el Superior to Zod, even though he's an antagonist.

i also enjoyed many of his other scenes with ai jor-el especially the one Zod tells him "I will harvest the codex from your son's corps and I will build Krypton atop his bones"! epic line.

Zod is easily the best played character in the movie.

my best scene in man of steel is when zod tells Clark his goal is to protect Krypton no matter how cruel it turns out, before both of them collide, creating a shockwave.

the fight after this is where I think DC made a big mistake. instead a making a big CGI fight, they could have just introduced zod's inability to control his senses here.

Superman then takes advantage of this and then beats Zod but doesn't kill him, showing that love and hope is what conquers evil.

too bad they didn't go down this route. they chose to introduce Zod's weakness earlier and waste money on a CGI fight
