Wow!
A very rigorous process indeed, thank God for the end result.

Congratulations.

OkoromolaFarms:

So sorry for your situation and can imagine how you currently feel. If you do not have the patience to wait, I will advise you re-apply.

My application process

I applied July 19, 2020, did my biometric August 6, 2020, and got first refusal August 26. I applied for administrative review on the same day we got the refusal.
I got a successful AR 28 days after I applied and my case was referred back to the original case working team for my case to be reassessed. I waited for over two months after AR decision (sep 23 - dec 2) after two escalation and got another refusal stating that my 20 million is equivalent to 4K pounds. I was mad, sad and depressed all together. I did another administrative review pointing out the error, replied the email that sent the refusal decision Cc: compliant and ICI of ukvi and Boader Agency.
On the evening of December 3 I got a mail from the email that sent the decision stating I was right and they will get back that I do not have to apply for another AR. I was excited and felt it was finally over.
Dec 9, I got a mail from complain stating that they are upholding my complaint and I will be called for another interview. Dec 14 got mail for interview for Dec 15 which they did and God came through and the interview was okay.
After waiting for another 5 days (dec 21)without a response from ukvi, I sent another mail stating a case of prejudice against me and my family to work and study pdc, interview, complain and ICI.

December 22 around 9:35pm Uk time for an overturned decision and a link to pay IHS will be sent. Thinking that was the end, we got the IHS link for the last dependent January 15 after plenty call and email.

We finally got visa on Thursday February 4, 2021.

It was not easy at all. The process took us 6 months of pressure from work, school and UKVI.
God actually gave us the wisdom and strength to endure and keep pushing.

If you can wait and be ready for the trouble UKVI will give (never get surprised) go for the administrative review

I hope this will help someone take an informed decision and you can also ask me any questions.

I have learnt from this, damn long process but is the reason for your refusal same as mine, my refusal case is so straightforward and I think I could do what you did in the case of the refusal of your 20 million to 4K pounds sir, thinking of it, if I was in an accident or something I expected a follow up letter from them that they called me, I'm confidence with God on my side I'll with successful with the AR, the only difficult is the incoming calls.

If I had more than enough funds, I would have rather reapplied but from experience, I have come to realize once you are refused, there is a high tendency of another refusal if you reapply immediately. Also, bear in mind that if not for COVID, I would have lost the admission because after the second interview, my course coordinator confirm that the ukvi contacted the school if I could still resume for the course. I had to pay school fees by faith because if I was refused, I will not get a refund from school because I was actively engaging with my studies.
My point is it all depends on what your God feeling. Whatever it tells you to do, just do it. the ECO can be sometimes be very irrational

The reason for my first refusal was that I used my sister as my sponsor and that I did not add any other bank statement to my application. I asked them to check again for my statement.
I very sure you will get a successful AR but also certain that your case will be referred back to the original case working team because they have not gone through your application. Referring you back is where the problem is. There is no time frame of when the will get back and you can’t complain on that because they will say it is due to COVID and that it will take 28 working days before you can escalate. It is not certain they will respond on time. But if your school can continue to give remote learning you are fine but, you have to be in the UK by April 9 to be eligible for the post study visa

Hello house, good morning.

Please were you able to use your NPC attestation of birth as proof of birth certificate?

Has anyone been able to use it please?

My mum is my sponsor.

I actually do have a birth certificate, but to be sincere, the writings are not clear enough, especially the names of my parents and the document is getting worn out.

I was thinking of swearing an affidavit and getting the NPC attestation of birth then attach it to this birth certificate when applying.

Please, kindly advise.

Thank you, for your inputs.

I used the NPC attestation and my hospital birth certificate for my own application and it went well. So it should be fine if you’re born before 1992. If not, you may need to get a birth certificate from the NPC

Wow, this is serious they just make decision without looking through and through I was just surprised at the decision, I escalated when I didn't get a call and I believe this should be a back up thing for me, I want to mail them first before AR Thing I believe I should get a follow email stating they called and I wasn't available can I give them a reason why and all but they never did, just sent a refusal out of the blue, I have started classes online and already doing presentations in school online with my groups I'm worried but I know this shall work out for me too

Oh thank you for your timely response.

Please kindly bear with my questions.

I was born September 1992, so the birth certificate from NPC and my hospital birth certificate (with the not so clear writings) should suffice right?

Thank you.

Do the AR stating that you did not get any call from them, they should check the number the called because you have checked through you network provider and not seeing any call from them. Wait for the AR decision before you start sending mail

Hi everyone, I got my visa on the 3rd of February, I intend leaving on the 21st...someone suggested that ukvi would be expecting me to leave ASAP and that they might ask me at the airport why I stayed for 2 weeks after my visa. Pls what do you suggest... is 21st ok.... pls those in the Uk already what where you asked at the airport when you arrrived. I started classes online already
got my visa in december, leaving next week, they would not ask why you stayed for 2 weeks, if they do, you can simply say you felt more confident coming now especially as the number of cases is reducing as oppose to earlier when it was on the rise(which is why I stayed back, asides from my school advising that we stay in our respective countries till mid-feb when the lock down was at first supposed to be possibly lifted).

There nothing you can do but find something to occupy your mind ..... the turnaround time of less than 5 working days is just a guide, some applications will be turned around within that time frame while others will not be.... also there currently a pandemic which brings its own challenge in turnaround time

Just be patient and take your mind off it. Hopefully you hear back this week
