After Mourinho left. We spent almost 300m pounds byt still cant finish the same 2nd.
Mou's first season we finished 5th.

Mou's 2nd season we finished 2nd.

Mou's 3rd season, sacked while 6th.

Ole comes in halfway and finishes 6th.

Ole's first season we finished 3rd.

Ole's 2nd season we are currently 2nd with half the season gone.

Exactly, by this time last season we were 6th or so on the log with over 20 points deficit from the first position but now we are 2nd, he's taking us backwards.

LooL. Nope. Last season we were 6th and this season we are 10th.

We were title chasers last season, the season before that we were champions, and before then we won the treble. This season the coach is saying that we cannot compete again.

What a useless somebody angry.

Ole's status as a legend is the reason why some of them have refused to own up to the truth...

Ole doesn't have the credentials to coach this team neither does he have the technical know-how to see us all the way back to the top...

Why do you keep using this legend status line every now and then?

Nah not accepting that. Amaka had half a season and the team was already in trouble when he took over (which was exactly why he came in mid season anyway).

Moyes took a team from 1st to 7th in one season.
BIG DIFFERENCE. You can’t compare sleep to death.

Maybe it is because Amaka’s case is still fresh and Moyes was a long time ago but trying to compare what is happening now to what Moyes did devalues your OleOut argument.

When you make good points i will be the first to support you but indirectly trying to whitewash Moyes record? Kolewerk. cheesy

Moyes Bleep up yes but lets take things into perspective. Moyes took a team that finished 1st, but with Ferdinand and Vidic the world class starting CBs in thier last hurray, Vidic and Ferdinand concluded their transfers mid season, and both of thier careers effectively ended almost immediately. Rio was very useless at QPR, Vidic couldn't pick up at inter, scholes retired, Giggs became bit part player, Rooney has started declining, Van persie was injured almost the whole season. What was left for Moyes was bare bones, and he came in after the retirement of the greatest manager in British football it will be hard to cope, and moreover he only got Felliani that season.
For Ole, of the current regular starters only Maguire, Bruno and AWB were not there when he joined. He already has a goid team that finished 2nd a year before. Ole has this knack of losing when the pressure is high, he doesn't know how to win ruthlessly, he is naive, he is not competent, he is simply not good enough. Moyes might have performed badly but there was no evidence to suggest that if he is given more time he wouldn't have done better.

Let's not forget the football heritage yarns.

Look at them moaning about City's defence.
People that have spent about 300m on defenders alone in the last 3/4 seasons.

Yet when we suggest that we have to buy defenders u go begin dey hear "The Glazers have tried". How we wan take compete with City if shareholders no wan make we spend money?

All it takes to be hearing absolute buulshít and ridiculous takes on this thread is for City or Liverpool to win a match. Then u go begin hear how our season is over.
Now, they have stylishly started telling us to see Tuchel. When we begin dey see the Tuchel now, they will say our own is too much

Last season city scored more goals than everybody else in the league. Their problem was conceding goals. They’ve bought more defenders (although they were not thin in that department) and now you’re surprised that they’re doing okay?

Our squad is good enough sha. We can win the treble.

These ones are more concerned about their rivals than the team they claim to support.

I said we were punching above our weight with the manager and squad we have but they completely disagreed.

They said Martial is good enough. Rashford is better than everybody else. Maguire is good enough. Fred is a world class midfielder, etc. As if they will all play 60 games a season.

The only useful new addition to the team this season is Cavani, and even one has to be careful with how one uses him in order to avoid injuries. The other player, VDB, hardly fits into the team. We’ve seen him play. It’s not by name or how he’s played for other teams. How has his performances for United been ?

But no. We have the best squad in the league. No need to buy new players.

This is just a bunch of excuses. In 7 years time people will make better excuses for Amaka. If Moyes had just dropped us from 1st to 3rd or 4th you would have a point. 7th loun loun!

Moyes dropped 6 spots in one full season. Amaka has not done that yet.

Moyes cleared out a multiple title winning coaching staff and brought with him the who’s who of nothing to coach. Amaka brought back title winners to help him coach.

Moyes told Rio and Vidic to watch tapes of Jagielka to improve their defending.

Moyes is the apotheosis of cluelessness. Say no revisionist history.

Back to chilling on my fence. cheesy

Ole and Pep started their managerial careers almost the same time. They are age mates, stop behaving as if Ole just retired like Arteta or Rooney. So why will a team like Man United go for a manager who is lightyears behind their rivals and expect to win anything? That's the mediocrity we are talking about. If Ole is not up to the task he should find his level so we can find a world class manager to challenge for top honours. There are vacancies for championship and league 1 clubs he can start from there.

Pep's first season, he completely changed the look of City's starting 11. Next season, he changed it again.

But at United, we dont need to buy before we can compete. The Glazers have tried and the team is good enough to win Roland Garros and F1 Grand Prix

it's because the point gap between United and City just increased and would likely increase to 8.

So, no one realized that was a possibility when we stupidly dropped points vs Everton?

Mentioning the Everton match Dey vex me again sef. I wanted them to sack Ole and all the players after that game. Especially the defense. They are all fooooools. Useless people. If we blame coach for the first 2 goals because he was outsmarted, conceding at the last minute, after a new sub was made to help with the defense is unforgivable. Why was Maguire playing all of the opponents onside? I feel like flogging him after that match.

Make I cool down.

As far as Ole is concerned, we can win 5 games and go ahead and loss 2 but we shouldn't complain because of what? Who cares about what you think...

How will we ascend to the top if we are okay with dropping points just because he had a good run prior to dropping points? In a league competition, how do you measure progress if you don't look at those around you?

Man City were below us at some point but ATM, they are ahead with a 5 pts lead and have a game in hand making it a possible 8 pts gap...Nobody wants to complain because we are 2nd on the log but by the time you look at how where City were before and now, you realize just how many points we have dropped that shouldn't be...

We draw Leicester, they will say Leicester is a big team but couple of weeks after, even smaller teams will go and get the maximum points off Leicester...

With Liverpool is the same thing. 1 point was looking like a steal until Burnley, Brighton and yesterday City when to Anfield and came back with 3 pts...Same Anfield that our fans here will vilify you for saying we shiuld have won there.

Every time we drop points, we will start reading how the other team is like prime Barca, only for a smaller team to beat the same team in the near future...

Excuses fc...

I understand that we should be reaching for the topmost top. But I have a question for you:

When was the last time United went on any tangible run, amassing points? And under what manager?

That was Fulham at least he got a draw. Ole lost to Sheffield United at old Trafford a team that was on course for an EPL lowest point total until Ole did saraka for them
Look at Moyes West Ham position in the table this season, a club he took in relegation battle last year. The last time Ole took a team like that, he sent them to championship and was about sending them to league 1 until they put him out of his misery.

Sarri had been coaching before I was born. Maybe that means he should be better than Pep too if we follow ur logic.
Na here we dey when many guys here were hyping Mourinho's appointment while Pep went to City. Now all we hear is "See Pep...see Pep"

The Glazers you guys keep telling us are trying are the same ones who let top managers like Ancelotti, Pep and Klopp slip their grasps so that they can hire the Mourinho's and LVG of this world.

I dont disagree that Ole is average. When the time is up, Ole will either step down or be sacked. But what I wont do is join you in crying about it.

Dont mind them. they think the clueless ole will achieve anything even if you give him Brazil 1970 squad. Give this united team to Guardiola, 1 year later you will see what the team will turn into, Ole cannot perform more than his abilities. He started coach about the same time with Guardiola but look at their trajectory.

For those that care to remember, the Barca team that Pep took over in 2008 is a very unbalanced and dilapidated, one year later he is winning the treble. Give Ole that kind of team, we will only be hearing of complaints here and there.
Today we complain of attack, tomorrow we complain of midfield the next is goalkeeper and then defence, every time with Ole nothing is ever balanced. If Ole did not play for Man United, will he ever smell the managers position at Manchester United?
