Congrats!
How was your POE? Can you share
Questions?
On the passenger locator form, which address will I fill under residential address, will it be naija address or where I will be staying in the UK?
Please I need your prompt response as I am due to travel tomorrow night...

Sorry....just woke up now and the cold hasn’t been fair with me.

At the POE;
I presented my CAS, Covid test, Admission Letter and Locator form print outs. The man looked straight to the Location form at first glance and asked me the address on it...(What address will you stay at for your first 10 days in the UK?) I told him my Aunty’s place and he asked who she lives with.
He asked to confirm my School name, location and course and how many years it is.
He was looking at me while I was answering the questions.

For residential and Home address, I put my Aunty’s address in UK but I think your Nigerian address should be there.
The main thing on the Location form they want to see and ask is ; What address will you stay at for your first 10 days in the UK?

I hope this helps.
Regards.

You dont need a yellow card to travel to the UK, your child's yellow fever vaccination should normally be recorded in their vaccination card.
Take along your child's vaccination record for your GP registration.

It's not always a case of being straightforward or not. I've seen a pure straightforward case refused by UKVI and after 2 admin reviews (because they found different reasons to deny), visa was granted but received late and couldn't be used. But the next application the following year with the same documents and same school (with only change in dates) was approved under 7 working days as all the errors they could bring up had already been trashed at the ARs from the previous year.

The AR process was initiated in early August, new refusal with another reason in late August, 2nd AR in Sept, 2nd refusal cancelled in mid Sept, passport submitted mid September but wasn't ready for pickup till applicant went to BHC 2ce in Oct. Total AR time was about 7-8 weeks but each AR decision was ready in 2 weeks. Total time inclusive of application timeline was about 13-14 weeks.

If you can get the refusal overturned, good for you but be ready to wait, just in case it takes longer than you anticipate.

Veejaytv1:
I have learnt from this, damn long process but is the reason for your refusal same as mine, my refusal case is so straightforward and I think I could do what you did in the case of the refusal of your 20 million to 4K pounds sir, thinking of it, if I was in an accident or something I expected a follow up letter from them that they called me, I'm confidence with God on my side I'll with successful with the AR, the only difficult is the incoming calls.

It's good you want the best for your kids. However, I hope at your workplace, you are doing things right and treating the kids of other parents with the fear of God. Those parents also want the best for their kids.

No be say I dey judge you ooo... I'm just saying... embarassed embarassed embarassed We know wetin our eyes see for Naija lecturers' hands. undecided undecided undecided

I don't think that the purpose of Nairaland is for you to talk or judge any how. I only asked people with matured mind my questions and I have gotten what I want.

If you like judge me. I wish everyone woman can struggle for their children no matter where they are working. Instead of writing or judging me, think of how you can help other generations who needs your help

Dear Nairalanders,

I need your urgent advice. I did my biometrics on 1st Feb and paid for a priority service. On the 4th of Feb, I got a mail that my student visa application has been refused. The reason stated was that I did not provide sufficient funds as my total fees (tuition and living) is £25k and I provided £19k. Immediately I realised that the difference is my tuition discount (7k scholarship). This scholarship was stated on my CAS and I am disappointed that my application was refused.

I am eligible for an application review. I have done that (Feb5) pointing out the issue backed with additional evidence. I have followed the thread and realised that the review can take up to 3months which gets me upset the more. My question is, will my priority service be considered for the review. Also, I have not gotten a mail to pick up my passport. Will I be contacted for it or until after the review?

Sorry about that. But did you include the scholarship letter document with your application?

Also your school should have just put the discounted tuition fee in CAS.
