lack of economy activities from the masses are the cause of the downturn of the Nigerian economy

MOST NIGERIANS ARE UNPRODUCTIVE, THEY ARE ONLY PRODUCTIVE IN COMPLAINING AND ABUSE

The government cannot be absolved from blame as well... no electricity, bad roads, and insecurity aren't recipes for economic success

Human capital, not money is our core problem.

You don't start a Business with Billions, you start small with the Big Picture in mind to help you put your Leadership capacity to test first before investing Big. No matter how much money at your disposal

And Nigeria has failed to realize money is not her problem, but lack of idea. It seems most of our Leaders are creative only when it comes to looting than Human capital development. Which is the number was Demon we are fighting with after lack of will

You re very correct.
Our problem is not about money but right combination of human capital.

During Goodluck tenure we re crying of corruption but every economic indices are good. Our GDP exceeded south Africa, yet his tenure was mired with corruption.

However, Buhari tenure is, worst, unemployment, corruption, high cost of living, forex volatility, contraction of GDP.

We re bleeped. We need messiah. We need a president that can mix right set of people like Goodluck did to achieve best governance.

Buharinomist will soon make a press statement on how IMF is always biased in its analysis of Nigerian economy. Any improvement in the economy that doesn't reflect in the daily living of the man on the street is not an improvement at all

It baffles me how people arrive at the conclusion such as the bolded part of this comment. For your information Nigerians are hardworking and industrious. However what can you single handedly achieve in short period of time when the system is working against you.
As an agric person, for example, a farmers life is nothing close to inspirational in this country. After laboring to grow , cows will come and destroy the farm, if he sails through he will get exploited by bottle-necks in the market, just to mention a few. Even a Nigerian without a skill will dig pit, dig well, hawk fmcg, etc .
Shall we begin to appreciate ourselves and stop these disparaging comments.
I weak o!

It, however, commended government for acting swiftly to adopt a pandemic-related support package equivalent to 0.3 per cent of GDP in the 2020 revised federal budget despite limited fiscal space.

Which pandemic-related support package are they been commended for? Is it the #30,000 grant or the relief package?

No thanks to Buhari/APC

Meanwhile, I'm tempted to end my life because of debt of N65,000. It may not be a big sum but if you don't have, it means you don't have. I'm depressed and suicidal. Who can help please?

IMF, if you so please you can give Nigeria $350 trillion.

I can assure you there will still be no tangible infrastructure and stable economy to show for it.

Nigeria, as it is presently constituted and as it was intended from the start, is a failed state. I wonder why the IMF is marvelling at this revelation. Perhaps if we were allowed to separate the chaff from the wheat by way of splitting the country, everyone would be less fixated on oil money, people would really use their brains to think and there would be judicious use of public resources.

But no, we are left to contend with corrupt politicians who relocate these borrowed funds to foreign accounts whilst using the mass populace as collateral.
