Look at Kaduna.

Nice roads. They even have a dry port.

Where are the foreign investment?
Insignificant.

I am sure by the end of 2021, the foreign investment there will be less than $1M

We don't know the root cause of problems.

That is why we vote wrong.

Ok imagine, Tesla will soon start accepting bitcoin for payment of their cars, and other smart companies will follow this trend because they understand the growth potential, Now Nigeria government banned bitcoin, so if Tesla wanted had plans of building a Car or solar grid in Nigeria, we just denied them, Country that is still struggling..smh

If I can't withdraw my profits quickly, or have multiple or inefficient taxation, or can't access raw materials and currency with any resources available to me including crypto, if you like build an autobahn and an underground metro, I am not investing.

As it right now, NIgeria is getting less than 2% of its potential investment inflow if things were just working at 70% efficiency and competence.

thanks my brother, next election they will go and vote governors that lacks managerial skills, bereft of ideas and those without national clout to attract local investors not to talk of international posture to attract foreign investors.
It baffles me sometimes when I hear how they blame Buhari for everything that happens in their states.....My state for instance....the Governor has blatantly refused to pay January salaries just like that oo even when he has received allocation from the federal government.

Are the following places in your country and not in Nigeria?: quote, Lagos emerged as the top destination for capital investment in Nigeria with $8.3 billion, followed by Abuja, which received $1.3 billion. The others on the list are Abia State with relatively lower $56 million, Niger with $16.4 million, and Ogun with $13.4 million.

Don't forget to include the collusion involved + loads of brown envelopes, that made it's way to the most corrupt country in the world........

If you are a foreign investor will you invest in this Nigeria?

As a Nigerian I won’t.

That's why you will remain useless and hopeless while the likes of INNOSON who started by selling spare parts in the market, to become founder of the world's biggest black-owned vehicle manufacturer, thrive and dominate you. Even now he's manufacturing spare parts for Nigerian airforce jets.

One small boy began a startup with his friend in Lagos a couple of years back. Last thing I heard the firm had been acquired by Stripe for 200 million dollars.

See, you and your disgruntled, useless ilk can emigrate, stay away, and badmouth and hate Nigeria all you like.

There are more than enough brilliant and positive Nigerians to take the nation forward.

EXACTLY.

This alone tells you that the problem is not ''NIGERIA'', or ''BUHARI''.

The problem is the GOVERNORS these folks elect, who don't seem to know what they are there for.

Lagos received 8.3 billion dollars in FDI last year. That's some money.

The other states should go and ask Lagos for consultancy services on how to implement policies for attracting foreign investment.

What ''difference'' are you expecting to see from your parlour or bedroom?

Those who are seeing the ''difference'' are the thousands of Nigerians gaining employment with those companies and making decent cash. All those nice new SUVs on the streets, they didn't drop from the sky. People are making money. Plus the local ancillary companies and services that will gain new corporate clients.

That is what investment is for. To create opportunities. It's not for you to sit in your bedroom and feel the ''difference''.

Or you think those that are making money will come and knock on your door to tell you? Or give you their money?

No mind am, some ppl will be head slamming on soakaway disturbed by this level of inflow in the East.

It would be $560 million per year if the divorce from Lord Lugard's forced marriage occurred.

Out of 19 Northern states, 14 received zero foreign investments. grin
They are busy trying to ban social media and busy striking deals with bandits.

They have not yet seen anything yet. If Nigeria breaks today, Local Government Chairmen in the North will be selling suya in the South.
And some how your hateful brain fail to see the southern states that also received zero investment.Stupid monkey.

The leaders need to make Nigeria conducive with rules of conduct. Nobody wants a moving post.

If Nigeria is okay, even Nigerians will invest in Nigeria.

When we said "vote for sophisticated people who have run businesses, understand how economies work, and have friends in the world stage who they can tap into for our benefit", Nigerians opted to vote for a person who in 1983 and 2015 demonstrated he has no business running an economy.

How will any sane person invest in Nigeria with it's policy flip flops and currency that fluctuates worse than bitcoin? At least bitcoin can rise... Naira always devalues.

If the national cake is made bigger more people can chop. As of now it's only Buhari and his people chopping... how much did they budget for chicken alone? Now we have the prospect of paying interest on loans far bigger than we can afford long after Buhari has left. Sai baba sha... PMB is working indeed angry
