If you have the means and necessary funds, I advise you to relocate.
Theresaihez:
Hello,

I need advice.

My goal is to relocate to Canada. I'm currently a 3rd year Nursing student (BSc). Due to the strike and pandemic and uncertainties surrounding the educational system last year, I closed my eyes and applied to just a school (college to be precise) for Bsc Nursing.

I got in few days ago!!!

Here lies my dilemma: I'm currently in 300L and if things go as planned with 4 semesters in a year, I'd be graduating next year; although I don't think personally that that is feasible. Nasu and Ssanu is currently on strike, only God knows if in a few months time, ASUU won't on the basis that FG has not fulfilled their promises.

If God and ASUU willing, I'd graduate in 2 years (this year and next year, Although I'll be adding extra 6 months for uncertainties). I still have to do 1 year internship then NYSC that's about 4.5 years already. If I decide after then to go through PPR, I think I'll need at least 1yr work experience to at least boost CRS score before I start applying. All in all that might take me extra 2 years if I get accepted or 1.5 years... That will be bringing my calculations to 6 or 6.5 years that's 2026/2027. And even if I get there, I'll have to take NCLEX exams before I can get a job. It's also recommended to do at least 1yr brushup course for internationally educated nurses. The certification by provincial council of nurses takes time too... So that's extra 6 months before job search if I take express NCLEX without brush up programs; and 1.5 years if I take the brush up before the exam. That is bring my years calculations to 6.5/7 years or 7.5/8years from this year before I can be licensed.

On the other hand if I accept the admission, I don't think I can transfer my credit because this is the first set to be admitted solely for Bsc Nursing and not practical nursing. If I accept, in 4 years I'd graduate and write my NCLEX upon final year. So I'd be certified to practice there in 4 years and a sure job and 3 years PGWP will be waiting for me because I sure can network and make use of every available opportunity.

So please what should I do. I'm confused, I really want to go but doesn't have a sponsor. Or even someone that can sponsor just my first year with the aim of payment back before I grad.

Someone advised me to just stay and grab my degree and there after try UK or USA since NCLEX can be written here for USA though.

@Awys, this is so heartwarming and a touching story especially the disappointment in Dubai but see God oh, He gave you a better package.

I am glad that we're celebrating your PPR and I learnt 1 or 2 things from this story. Every disappointment is truly a blessing, as long as we don't give up and continue to trust God. Congrats again dear sis, you truly deserve this joy and comfort. Name this testimony Joseph oh, meaning that there's so much more to come by God's grace.

Greetings and plenty hugs for maale abeg for her unwavering support, mothers are simply the best.

I have been off NL for a while and I just thought to check tonight and saw the much awaited goodnews, super pleasant!

@deomannuel, awaiting your PPR testimony too oh... I hope I didn't miss the celebration They say once you see testimonies around you, it's a sign that God is in your neighbourhood.

It will end in praise for us all...

Hello Teemade!

I'm glad you came around. God really came through for awys, we're all rejoicing with her.

My PPR Testimony is coming soon, I'll make sure you don't miss it. cool

Thank you. University of brunswick requires a (B) for computer science. Do i stand a chance.

JustMellow:

Hello Chimzy4real,

Your CGPA is good for a Master program, but your GPA for the last two (2) years is most important.

My advise is, apply to the two (2) schools. Only on the exception of low budget should you consider applying for the M.sc with your best foot forward, otherwise, go for the Certificate program.

Best of Luck

Hi Tony ,

I got this exact letter couple of weeks ago . I submitted MBS and after 2 weeks. My application was approved

You just need to do the exact thing @olasubomy asked you to do and you will be fine , otherwise you may be banned for 5years

From my understanding, they are satisfied with other documents except the statement, so you are almost there

PPR next by his grace

All the best

Pls I was also told that if I defer the admission after my application has been submitted is automatic visa refusal because I don't have the ielts and I want to follow the normal route and am suppose to start classes by may 11 2021,I really wish to defer so it can take normal route and at the same time I don't want visa refusal due to the fact that have submitted my application before I defer the admission.thank you

Deferring an admission does not lead to visa refusal, especially now that IRCC processing time is now longer and their final decision sometimes passes the school's deadline to enroll for a particular intake. Prospective students defer all the time to the best of my own knowledge.

Please my experts I will need your guidance for study permit.
My profile goes thus;

Bachelor's = 2010
Diploma (Education) = 2015
Teaching (secondary school /mathematics) since 2012.

Now I applied for 3 schools for fall 2021

MEd Simon fraser (secondary mathematics)
MEd university of saskatchewan (Educational Administration)

Cape Breton University ( Diploma Supply chain management) jst applied for applying sake cos we have big distribution company.

Now,
Simon Fraser ( waiting for admission)
Saskatchewan (waiting for admission)
Cape Breton (admitted)

But still waiting for the others before I make my final decision on the one to he and apply, but Simon fraser said decision will be made from Feb ending, same as saskatchewan which is fro March.

After researching, I started noticing that supply chain specialist gets job easily than does that did MEd in Canada without bachelors of education done in Canada. So few friends are telling me to go for the diploma which i think has low approval rate. So am in a confused state for now nd really needs the family advise. And again the tuition fees isn't an issue with me but d diploma has wat the called differential fees which is little less than the tuition.

So do I use the diploma to apply for study permit?

Will still ask more as I remember

Hello People,

I applied to Memorial University Newfoundland, Canada, for fall 2021. I submitted my application on the 26th of January, 2021.

I got a response from School of graduate studies (sgs) for the receipt of my application, stating once formal decision is reached I will be contacted.

For the funding of my application, I have asked a distant family tie (an uncle) who is a business owner to serve as my sponsor. He is willing to provide his company account statements and other required documents needed to be provided by financial sponsor.

Elders in the house, what other documents will he need to make available besides his bank statement? I need this so I can reach out to inform of the these, so it can be easily made available.

Please avail me with all necessary information.

Thank you in anticipation.
