There are endless options where you could go on your first date. Sometimes both parties are a little bit overwhelmed with choosing because usually, you still don’t know the preferences of your date. Still, take initiative and suggest something!

The date classic enjoys a good reputation and rightly so: Meet on neutral ground. How about a coffee first? That's just the right setting to make a first impression. You are in a busy room that you could well leave at any time. Choose a spot somewhere in the middle of where you both live.

2. get out into nature!

A walk outside comes along with positive aspects: Walking brings up a lot of possible topics of conversation. If possible, chose a city park, a lake, even a flew market can bring up a lot of stories. This helps finding same interests and possibilities to create new memories together. And don’t be scared of silence in between; not every second of the date needs be filled with babble. A little bit of silence in between is also less noticeable when walking and can even be pleasant.

3. be attentive

Have you talked about interests and preferences with your date before? Try to remember. Maybe your date mentioned a place s/he likes to visit that’s not too far and is suitable for a first date? If yes, suggest this place! Your attention might be appreciated very much!

Of course, to a certain extend you have to adapt to your surrounding; if your date is at a fancy restaurant, you can’t wear your comfortable tank top and sandals.

If you are still unsure about your outfit, ask your friends! They are sure happy to help and might have some extra advice.

2. Where is the line?

It’s still nice, if your date recognizes that you dressed up and you put on frills for your date. But these efforts should also stay within reasonable limits considering that what we already discussed regarding not to show off someone that you aren’t.

3. Keep it natural and wear your face with pride!

For our female readers: Of course you want to look stunning, breathtaking! It's also fun and exciting to prepare for the first date. And don't misunderstand, if you enjoy this and you feel comfortable with make up, go for it. Just keep it natural as much as you can. Because men are not blind, and they see "how many layers" are covering the face behind. Too much make up might make your date suspicious or even scare (usually) him off. Wear your face, not your make up; less is more - believe me!
