Hi bosses good evening, am new here..just finished my msc in chemistry though still trying to get my paper published; and i want to further for my phd preferably in US. UG CGPA 3.49, msc 4.56.
1.Any suggestions on schools i can apply to both for funding and tuition waver?
2.i have concluded i will write GRE to improve my chance of admission..but i need help in the payment and registration for the exam...
And whats the modality of the exam now in Nigeria?
And wen soonest can i write the exam?

You have quite a good profile already and your field of study; Chemistry is heavily funded in the US. So that's already an advantage for you.

Texas Tech, University of iowa, Florida State University, University of Florida, Virginia State University, Georgia State University. Check these universities.

2. Yes you can write the GRE, there are people that can help you with the registration; I suggest you post on the GRE thread for credible registration centres or individuals who can assist you. For the dates, you can always select the date you feel prepared to write the exam. Dates are available on-the-go.

Check www.ets.org for more.

I also think some of your questions would have been easily answered with a quick Google search.

All the same, wish you the best.

Hi house, what do you think about a PhD offer without funding but the applicant has a solid sponsor. Can this affect visa interview?

Good morning house,

Please help a brother in need of advice.

1. Is there anyone one that got admitted to these schools for Masters Economics California State Polytechnic University Pomona, Saint Cloud State University, Troy University, Findlay MBA University, how is these schools ?

2. Which ones waive out of state tuition fees?

3. Which do you think will be better according to your opinion/experience in terms of Scholarship i hope to get, easy payment plan/cheap tuition fee if they disappoint with scholarship, Graduate assistance Job, easy access to 40hrs a week job and adaptability.

4. I have decided to use Findlay MBA to apply for Visa, as other schools request official transcript before they will show me the content of the admission they gave me around 9th and 10th febuary or may be i sud exercise patience. THE QUESTION, I have a master degree in economics already hope i wont have issues with Visa officer going for another masters in economics, If i decide to use the admission for Graduate economics.

i will create time to read the thread.

I am new in these section i want to hear from experience folks.

thanks in advance.

It is not neccessary you renew your passport.

The rule states you must have atleast 6 months validity before expiration date

Good morning House!

Please I need a bit of quick advice. My current passport will expire June next year, and I need to schedule an interview at the embassy asap for Fall 2021 resumption. Will my current passport validity suffice or should I go ahead and apply for renewal before I start my visa application process.

Thanks in advance.

Why not go for PhD in Economics, going for another MSc in Economics is quite unsettling especially for the VO. Plus getting a full ride offer is more likely when you go for a PhD program than MSc

I will advise you to write the GRE as soon as possible if you can and pass it very well.

As a chemistry graduate with good results, you can apply to more than 50 graduate schools in the US without paying a single application fee.

You can also get admission with full funding without GRE.

Try and publish more or upto three research and make sure your references are well positioned and good.

Don't wait to get GRE results, start applying today and send emails to the graduate schools and the chemistry department for application fee waiver.

All the best bro!

3. https://www.citizensstudentloans.com/Loan/Student?(Can cover the entire college cost)

4. https://www.ascentfunding.com/options-consigned-and-no-cosigner/?

No Co-signer needed. Check if your school is eligible
Please i have some questions as regards these loans,
do they disburse the money to the school before or after you have your visa?
do they give you evidence to show the school so that you use that to apply for visa?
