Though many seem to gloss over it today, the idea of corporate business was really to fleece the masses, history tells of people in old America that went from being multimillionaires to very poor that can't afford 3 square meals daily, till corporations came into being Corporations afforded the elites the ability to borrow money from banks and never paying back with consequences......... Tobex4realTobex234: CBN is not dump, they have to take some actions. I had already envisaged what they did before they actually strike. The rate of growth in crypto trading in the last one year is crazy. How could we be trading over 20b in a day(to be conservative) in crypto vs ngn and NSE will be struggling with 4b?? |

pluto09: FMDQ has average daily transaction of N900 billion. In December 2020, total transaction on FMDQ during a 22 day trading was over N19 Trillion. There are days when transaction on the platform is over N1 Trillion. For your information, NSE is the major shareholder of FMDQ, NASD and the sole shareholder of NSE until it will be sold to interested members of the general public later next year

pluto09: I don't know why people are still writing about it here. The discussion is not wanted nor needed - the leaders of the gang have outrightly shown there disdain for it. Although the level of ignorance is shocking. Especially for Emma who subtlety compared it to ponzi with his "how market?" Post. I like the SEC post though. Shows the govt is saving face and will together look into the situation. Go to the crypto thread, else they assume you want to "advertise" it to them. 1 Like |

Our economy and currency are still in a deep mess. It is even more worrisome to see how our political leaders and many Nigerians are banking our economical strength on Dangote refinery, we gonna need big corporations like Dangote refinery in all the six geo-political zones for us to see its significant effect on our economy and lives of every Nigerian. I just laugh whenever our finance minister says we gonna be out of recession before the end of 2nd quarter 2021. We are happy that tbill rates are going up, but so are our national debts and burden. The government solution to a problem is usually as bad as the problem. 1 Like |

emmanuelewumi:They were issued draft an the account closed. In my own opinion, the CBN failed to acknowledge that more advanced countries like Japan, South Korea, Switzerland, Singapore, Portugal, USA, UK, Canada, Australia and France have taken a position approach to regulate the market. Germany has also recognize beatquoin as a means of payment in 2018. China is also on the verge vof becoming the first country in the world to issue Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), a project it has been working in since 2018 With the ban CBN has facilitate the creation of an ecosystem built without Nigerian banks. Unless the internet is banned the money will be transferred to and from Location and person. A better approach would be -Allow banks own this - institute a KYC rules and attract FDI Visa a one time enemy of this cry.pto community is partnering with 35 cry.pto platforms and will be helping bank roll out beatquoin & cry.pto buying and trading services with a Visa cry.pto software program. |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by pluto09(m): 11:15am On Feb 13, 2021 |
QuinModah: Has anything come out of national assembly summons of anybody before. If CBN reevaluate its own action, it might take a new approach and possibly put in some regulations in place . My point actually is not to put any hope in CBN changing its stance. If they change, good, if they don't, we look for alternatives and move on. 2 Likes |
