Hello People, I applied for a master's in 3 Canadian universities now and currently waiting for their favorable considerations of my applications but I'm disturbed if my current age could be a barrier. I'm 42 going to 43 now and not sure if I could scale this visa people hurdle. please, from the experience gathered so far, could anyone throw more light as regard age in this race. thank you.

I am 47 years old. I just received my passport back as my application was approved. Kindly write a good SOP with emphasis on why you need to do the program and the fact that you will return after your masters . Please go ahead and don’t be discouraged .

Thank you for your reply,
I have already uploaded the unofficial to my portal and it has been acknowledged by the school. I can't even get them to stamp my unofficial copy because the staffs are currently on strike and offices are locked.
I had already paid for the processing of the transcript before the strike issue

I think it’s a matter of knowing someone in the admin. Ask people to link you up. If you can find someone then you can get your transcript stamped. They can even help send your transcript. You’ll just have to pay extra money.

Ask around. Ask your classmates and alumni to hook you up.

Hello house!

Please how can a one year course(MBA or MSc) affect one's Visa application as well as post study visa in Canada?

Also, how possible is it to switch from one course to another course, preferably a health course(BSc) while there with a one year Visa?
Anyone please?

Hey guys,

Who is applying or has applied to Memorial University for UNDERGRADUATE fall 2021?
1. Have you heard back from them regarding admissions?

2. Also did you have to provide proof of English Language Proficiency?

3. Did you get any scholarships?

Thank you.
I have been getting a lot of negative feedbacks in terms of sponsorship.
Here is what I plan to do so I can comfortably use my mom as my sponsor together with the money I have.

My mom has a small scale business which she has consistently ran for more than 25 years. Unfortunately, it isn't registered. I want to start the process of registering her business, get tax clearance cert on it and getting papers for her landed property in the villa.

Do you think I can do all these and still meet up for the September intake?

Situation is dicey.

1.Hello dear did you include ielts result during the visa application.
2.Did you by any means submit any test result regarding Covid test result?

Really don't know will appreciate if you can PM or post list of documents you submitted .

I am a bit worried also applying for May 2021 studies yet to apply my ielts result will be available by March 2021, really don't know to apply by mid March whether it will be late for May 2021 studies just don't want the fall/September term. sad

Hello, no I didn't include IELTS results. I am not using the NSE method. I'm going for a diploma program in practical nursing.
2. No I didn't do covid test....

hmmm I am not sure, their website says the processing time is 13 weeks...I had to rush to make sure I got in my application asap...

There is nothing like Covid test for visa application and if you really want May 2021 I would advise you submit your application like right now like immediately and you will still do medicals and getting a closer date isn't a joke at all and I would advise you get a date now if you want to do an upfront medicals which is at your discretion to do that don't wait till March it will be too close and you will be pressured when your IELTS is ready you can submit it through webform!!!

This seems like a good advise...it's better to submit sooner than later....

You are very welcome.

GTB does mybankstatement, so you are good to go. The truth is that people can run two businesses at the same time and not necessarily be constantly physically present in one. You can explain someone else heads the other business while you are one of the directors or the sole director of it is a business name.

I think you should stop at stating only one year if it is not stated in your acceptance letter. So was it stated? If yes, then state it and explain the last one year is for internship, if not, leave it at one year. The point is that if it is stated in your letter of acceptance and your office also states it, it validates it and makes you more transparent and convincing. It's even in the open sef, so no need hiding that fact if it is stated there.

I think your children can apply from 6 months to one year after you arrive. Who will travel with and bring your children to Canada? Remember to add the person to their application if the person is not you.

I believe the main gurus here can also come in here too.

Wow!!! I can't thank you enough for this sir.

You answered all my questions perfectly. Thank you, thank you, thank you sir.

My bank statement will be from GTB.

Getting letter from my present employer is not an issue but please I will like to ask sir. My course is for one year and another one year internship making it two years. Should I state in the letter from my office that I will be away for two years?

I have a personal registered business with CAC, will it be wise to include my CAC documents and letter from my office. Dunno if uploading my CAC certificate and letter from employer will confuse VO?

For now, I intend to use my children, siblings and property as home ties, when can I apply for my children to join me in Canada?

Thank you once again sir

Hmmmm! God no go shame me las las shocked

Imagine my programme has been changed to "temporarily online" and my application is under processing, I hope this wont pose a problem?

I know these guys are more interested in the money we bring into their country, but they dont have to rub it on our faces, Shuo!!! This program was initially in-class while the Sept2020/January/May 2022 intake were temporarily online(which dosnt make sense to me). Now that May 2021 is getting close and probably they must have collected enough money for this session, they had to change it to temporarily online and the rest in-class, to lure more people I guess.

Covid 19 is no longer much of an excuse, cos it's been with the world for over one year now and everyone is adjusting themselves gradually.
Hmmmm! Every odd will work out for my favour in JESUS MIGHTY NAME, AMEN!!!

Canada is way too strict!

I will just go with the close family friend then.
One more question please, will a one year MBA/MSC affect my chances of getting Visa?

What are the chances of getting a positive study visa extension when I switch to a health related course(BSc) on getting to Canada?

I appreciate all your responses.

Hello Thairy,

I also applied to memorial university for fall 2021,

Can we connect and what program did you apply for

Thaiy:
Hello People,

I applied to Memorial University Newfoundland, Canada, for fall 2021. I submitted my application on the 26th of January, 2021.

I got a response from School of graduate studies (sgs) for the receipt of my application, stating once formal decision is reached I will be contacted.

For the funding of my application, I have asked a distant family tie (an uncle) who is a business owner to serve as my sponsor. He is willing to provide his company account statements and other required documents needed to be provided by financial sponsor.

Elders in the house, what other documents will he need to make available besides his bank statement? I need this so I can reach out to inform of the these, so it can be easily made available.

Please avail me with all necessary information.

Thank you in anticipation.

The ‘FORMS’ you’d need for Canada Study Visa Application are:

- Application of a Study Permit made outside Canada (IMM 1294)
- Application for a Temporary Resident Visa made outside Canada
- Family Information Form (IMM 5645 or IMM 5707)

Hi
Memorial University doesn't start processing application till the deadline of the course you applied for. Then you can expect a feedback one month after that deadline. For example I applied to memorial since first week in December but the deadline of the course I applied for was not until January 15th 2021, so from February 15th I'll start expecting a feedback from them.
I hope this helps.
