Sometimes they fall as far as 23 or 25 while in contrast Toyota and their luxury division Lexus have remained between number 1 to 3 every single year of the same period. Also, Mercedes do not have good customer service unlike their Japanese counterparts. The worst part is that they refuse to acknowledge the issues in their cars most times and need widespread outrage or lawsuits to do a recall whereas Toyota does major recalls without much ado. There's a video of a youtuber who set his car on fire after Mercedes refused to acknowledge or repair his Mercedes GT.

In conclusion, buy Mercedes or any other European brand if you want just the "awww! awww!" but if you care for your own sanity and have a phobia for cars throwing random stunts like this, look for a Lexus or Toyota.
