[quote author=Zoe1234 post=99007028]Hi everyone, I intend to apply for the master's program in Biomedical Sciences at the University of chester starting in October 2021. I will like to know more about the availability of student jobs there because I plan to cover part of my fees and living expenses with wages gotten from my part-time job. Also, I will appreciate information on their payment plan because, I couldn't find much info on it on their website. I know I have to pay 3k first but I don't know how soon I will have to pay the remainder. Thanks. You will pay 50% on registration balance 50% in 3 months |

hosey: Thank you so much. But the problem with the rooms I get on the site is that one is always required to pay for a minimum stay or pay deposit. I don't want to pay deposit because I will like to find a cheaper place once I get there |

1)No problem if you want to go for priority but some schools will not release CAS until 3months to start date and also know that you can only travel a month to your start date wc is August 2) study gap is not a barrier to him getting Visa but incase is being called for interview he should be able to defend it olaness: |

zill001: You go find tire unless you have a friend you can stay with. If you like continue haggling till no cheap accomodation opportunity. All these are very cheap self. You are very fortunate you are not even paying 600+ like in inside London. This is not Nigeria where anything goes where most people cheat their landlord and destroy there home when they leave. In UK, you pay advance monthly and sign 3, 6 or 12 months contract depending on your agreement. If your room is in the condition you met it, your deposit will be returned at the end of the contract. The government through DPS, TDS, or my deposits hold your deposit. If you and your landlord do not agree with the allowed deposit, the government will set through one of the aforementioned. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Aprokodaughter: Thank you for the reply. I'm hoping by September things will be better. But please how long does it take SHU to offer admission? It's been two weeks since I applied. I even want to apply for a second course How's their initial deposit and fee payment plan? I didn't see that on their website. |

Awhyxlim: Bradford is an affordable city and the university is just 2-3mins walk to city centre, there are student accommodations around the university and post codes like BD5 and BD7, student jobs are not difficult to get though with covid it will be difficult to get a job, you can also look for job in Leeds which just 20mins away by train and much lively and developed city than Bradford. That area of the university is very very lively and busy because of the university and college there and also a good number of night clubs. 1 Like |

DiamondOkpi: Hopefully things gets better. I can't really speak for SHU when it comes to admission. Admission varies from department and course. But you can start expecting your offer after two weeks or within two weeks. As for initial deposit I can't speak for them as well but I paid £1000 as my initial deposit and there was a discount as well. I don't know if it will be different in Sept 2021. Payments will be stated on your offer letter. |

Buses are moving but not cross-country, trains are moving. National Express provisional restart is planned for Monday 29 March 2021. Download the TrainLine app from PlayStore or Appstore to enable you plan your journey. Also have a card or cash handy for ticket purchase on the ticketing machines except you're sure of your travel times and will be buying online. Plan about 3.30-4 hours for your trip apart from connection times between your trains. SmithNV: |

Domistic: You can check some schools I'm sure you'll find some accepting without IELTS. However, your undergraduate University should indicate it in your Transcript that you were taught in English Language. Some Universities do indicate it in Transcript. Some schools in UK do accept High School diploma as language proficiency. You can support that with your BSc Degree and Transcript. |

cutieb: For family of 5, you need at least 3bedroom flat. Is advisable you go for semi furnished just because of kids so as not to pay more fees on damages when moving out of the property https://www.zoopla.co.uk/to-rent/flats/3-bedrooms/edinburgh/ 1 Like |

cutieb: If you can see a 2 bed with 2 double rooms then maybe it can be manageable because you can fit a bunk bed at one end and a single bed at another end. Although tight with wardrobe but possible . If you put a double bed instead of bunk that then 3 boys sleeping on one double bed can be tight sha But a good number of 2 bed have a double room for the parents and a small box(single room) as the second bed. Its almost impossible to sleep 3 in a single room. In africa it not a big deal but here it can be classify it as over crowding if any of the boys is over 10 years . ....I belive that why Phenmeson is advising you on 3 bed So if you insist on 2 bed then check that the 2 bed has to be 2 double rooms 1 Like |
