Look, any Nigerian is free to engage in social intercourse and commercial transactions in any part of the Nigeria. As we speak many Northern merchants are moving goods from North to Lagos and part of SouthWest. They have been doing this over the years with mutual respect and will continue to do so.

The critical issue here is that many young Fulani who don't have any cattle to rear, no education and no other skill except meandering in bush paths have become menace to the host communities. Because they are wild and needs money to live, they are simply recruited by some big criminal elements to kidnap for money. Even the ones that have cattle herd to look after are so focused on feeding the herd that that they fail to differentiate wild grass from food crops on farms. There is absolute disregard and disrespect for host communities and their own vocation. These are the issues.

SHAME to Northern Youths Council of Nigeria that instead of looking for long-term practical solutions, they are putting up emotion. Little wonder that the on-going banditry up North mayhem is persisting. Ostrich approach to issues don't solve challenges.
