Koeman is building a wonderful young Barcelona side, he may not reap the fruits this season but he will reap it in the coming seasons

BascoVanVeli:

If his teammates can't get him the ball, how is he going to get a shot? Even without the ball he had a good game. He kept the defenders busy and his pressing was really good.

The coach has a right to his decision but I would be lying if I said I was happy with it. I felt he had more to offer that match.

Well I didn’t watch the game

Someone said it was boring

You are quite right Basco. Immediately Osimhen went out, it looked as if Napoli could no longer keep/get the ball into the offensive third. Osimhen's speed and pressing kept De Ligt and Chiellini honest and he even registered 2 key passes to bring his teammates into good positions in the final third. The Juventus defence really had a hard time with Osimhen on the pitch and that pressure on them lessened once he was taken off. Petagna didn't offer same fire but did enough to scale through and get the result over the line.

This was an Osimhen at roughly 70-75% of his physical conditioning best yet he caused Juve just enough headache despite having no shots on goal. This shows with more time, the lad will surely be back to his flow and kicking asses in his usual manner again.

Napoli, without some of their key stars (Koulibaly, Mertens, Manolas), could still grind out this win with Osimhen playing a key role upfront. Without him as that pointman, Napoli don't get the chances or channels of penetration they get. It's part of what they've missed in Osimhen's long absence.

BascoVanVeli:

Still had the same amount of goals as Ronaldo grin

TBH there was no reason to take him off. He was still lively and doing his pressing. The decision almost came to bite them at the ending of the game when they had no outlet.

Napoli is a very funny team. You can't just predict them. They actually played nothing special. They just defended all through grin. I doubt if Osimhen would score 8 goals in serie a this season with the way the team is set up.
they played Juve for fak sake bro

Lol. This man, did you even watched the match?
, see as you are praising Osimhen to high heaven shocked. I was just laughing while reading this your epistle. Or did I watched another match tongue. At a point I started dozing off sha cos Osimhen hardly even touched the ball. Did Napoli even get any channel in the match not to even mention penetration grin.
Take am easy bro. The only time Osimhen usually get the ball is when the keeper plays the ball inside from a goal kick spot, and in the most part of the match, Chelili wins the aerial battle. Nothing more. What those two center backs for Napoli did today, I doubt if koulibaly would have done anything different.

I don't speak elaborately on games I don't watch. And who says Osimhen got much of the ball? He got little service but still got two key passes into teammates. Oh you didn't see that as well? Also, how else did Napoli get 2 shots on target, 2 off target and about 3-4 blocked shots? Sebi it was by hiding behind their goal? Juventus dominated chances and possession but Napoli did have a few moments they got forward with Osimhen also involved with his movement.

Well, not surprised. You just confessed you dozed off a couple times so you definitely missed loads of moments. Next time... Try to stay awake and get the full 90. grin

Besides, what does his price tag got to do with the fact that he is returning from a long layoff knowing fully well this same lad scored in his very last game for Napoli before the Injury happened? You people just love to act oblivious to the whole facts just because you wanna get your own words in which is to actually talk down on the lad. Nothing more. Your son wey dey score goals for Dortmund... Wey dem dey for Bundesliga table abeg? Oya talk grin

Let's not forget about the punishment he took on the team's behalf. Chiellini didn't take it easy with him but he still held his ground.

This picture is really deep. Shows that they had more than a 5 second conversation because he went in their changing room. U don't go in the opposing team's dressing room unless u are invited and not just that, it has to be by a senior member of the squad. They must think highly of him over there.

Ndidi proved me wrong with that unbelievable performance against Liverpool
Wilf came back with a bang from injury, his touches have improved a lot, he's a lot calmer with the ball and his tackles are crisp and clean.
His use of those long legs are proving to be magnificent
I wish him the best and I foresee him leaving Leicester very very soon
