So
1. you bought 100 dollars worth of stock 5 days ago.

2. The stocks are worth 150 dollars today i.e a profit of 50 dollars.

3. Taking profit on that stock is when you sell 50 dollars worth of that stock.
I.e you're pulling out your profit relating to that transaction.

4. Implication is that your unit of shares would be reduced but would be worth 100dollars at that point;

while your 50 dollars profit can be plugged into another say promising stock or secured in a value stock or ETF.

✈️�Electric aircraft startup Archer, which is getting solid backing from United Airlines, will go public through a merger with a blank-check company backed by investment banker Ken Moelis in a deal valued at around $3.8 billion.

The deal with Atlas Crest Investment Corp (ACIC) ,announced on Wednesday, is expected to provide $1.1 billion of proceeds to the company which makes electric aircraft with vertical take-off and landing.

Separately, United Airlines said it would buy $1 billion of Archer's aircraft, with an option to buy an additional $500million of aircraft, as part of its decarbonization efforts.

Palo Alto-based Archer was launched in May last year and is backed by Marc Lore, former chief executive officer of Walmart eCommerce U.S. The company said it is developing an electric aircraft that can travel up to 60 miles at 150 miles per hour.

In December, United Airlines announced a multi-milliondollar investment in a project to remove carbon dioxide from theair as part of a plan to be 100% "green" by 2050.

That's the thing with these wallstreetbet picks...no one knows whether or not. But I think for majority, that ship has sailed already.

The latest fad now seems to be cannabis stocks. Very volatile and risky, though some people make money from it, most will be left holding the bag.

If the intending stimulus plan works out, a boom might occur so stocks may go up more until another correction. From what I have read so far.
