University of Benin (UNIBEN) is one of the Federal Universities in Nigeria to take the bold step of reopening its gate to students despite the raging COVID-19 pandemic.

Uniben has since put some measures in place to ensure the safety of its students and staffs. Some of these measures include; compulsory putting on of face mask, hand-washing facilities at office entrances, organised lecture theatres, amongst many others.

A photo went viral on Facebook yesterday, showing an ongoing lecture session in one of the popular classes in the School. The photo posted by the SUG P.R.O on its official facebook page revealed students seating in an orderly manner observing the social distancing rule against COVID-19.

Maybe institutions should be admitting few students too as covid19 measures to achieve the social distancing regulation. Since Covid is the new normal and has come to stay...
