The freewill God gave humans was misused but that doesn't mean he failed in his duty. The book says he created us in his own image, this means that of all creatures on planet earth man is the only intelligent creature that can think of improving on what they find, other creatures live on instinct so in the next 10 million years animals will never improve their standard of living. Remember God started making things (invention) man can also invent, that's what the Bible means by God's image. But sadly majority of Mankind misused that privilege.

See, all these you mentioned are happening now even with all these religious preaching here and there. So what's the difference?

That's because there is a mighty spirit being who is disguising as God, he is behind all other religions so the standards they're setting has flaws so they will fail. There is just one Religion that belongs to God, this religion has the one and only PERFECT standard, it's only in their midst that LOVE, JOY and PEACE will reign. Isaiah 2:2-4
All the others will continue to delude themselves with man-made standards that will fail.

Naaaaaaaaaaaaa, religion's part is to help mankind to live and let live but false religions are not policed by what is called Holy Spirit so politicians will influence those religions because they're all FAKE.
The one and only true Christian group is globally known as JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES, because the SPIRIT of God is policing this Organization therefore Racism and Politics has been arrested and locked up in a spiritual cage, that's why i will never raise up weapons against anyone talkless my Christian brother from any part of the earth. But false religions don't have God's backing their religion is man-made so Racism and Politics is ravaging their gathering leading them to hating and killing one another! Galatians 5:19-21

So don't be carried away by their claim, observe the result of the standard that's governing them. If LOVE, JOY and PEACE fail in their gathering know that Satan has blindfolded them! Matthew 7:16-18

When I consider what humanity have been through in the hand of religion, I wish there would be a world without religion.

Think about the history of the Roman Catholic Church. Think about the murder of Vanini, of Servetus, etc.

Think about the massacre of St Bartholomew. Think about the establishment of the Holy Inquisition. Think about the conquest of Africa, the exportation of its natives to the countries of Europe. Think about the scourge, the chains, that were used to export our helpless and conquered ancestors to Europe and Asia.

Think about all these and tell me if the world wouldn't have been a better place without religion.

Think about the jihads of the sword carried out by some Islamic extremists. Think about the calamities the world have suffered in the hands of ISIS, Al Qaeda, Boko Haram, etc.

These are the offspring of religion, of superstition, of fundamentalism, and of fanaticism.

Think about all these and you would admit that a world without religion will be better off for the human race.

Religion bring nothing but division, acrimony, hatred, animosity, and mutual destruction.

Religion has divided the world between the saved and the damned, the believers and the unbelievers, the faithful and the infidels.

Of what use have the various religions been to the human race? Nothing, except fomenting anarchy, hatred and animosity.

The world would be a better place without RELIGION.

If there were such a thing as a serious-minded atheist, that person would never make this argument. Of course, there isn't such a thing, so it's a very popular position held by even highly educated atheists.

For what it is worth, the Christian response is that you are right. Religion is not good for human beings. But if atheism is the opposite, it is no better for human beings. If we were measuring on a scale, religion is better even if not by much.

Usually though, when this sort of argument is made, Christianity is lumped in with all sorts of other systems that do the opposite of what Christianity actually does. Whereas religions in general work on the principle of fear so that human beings are trying by them to get the gods (whoever or whatever they may be) to stay out of their business, Christianity is about reconciling sinful human beings to the God Who loves them. In other words, whereas the first is a negotiation based on fear, the second is a relationship reestablished by very sacrificial love on God's part.

This difference is critical since it is one of day and night. In fact, religion is more similar to atheism than to Christianity. But it would be contrary to reason that an atheist recognize such a thing since atheism rejects common sense knowledge and reasoning.

In short then, I would say that while you are right that religion is not good for human beings, the alternative that those who make such statements tend to have in mind is worse even judging by historical evidence. And Christianity stands apart from and above both options.
