Otunba Gbenga Daniel has dumped the PDP, his longtime political party, for the ruling APC.

Daniel, twice governor on PDP’s vehicle, will pick up the APC’s membership card on Tuesday in Sagamu, he said in a statement to friends.

The decision was in time for Mr. Daniel’s eligibility to pick up the party’s membership before ongoing registration exercise expires later today.

He will be receiving party chairman and Yobe Governor Mai Mala Buni and about three other APC governors as part of the political move, which would leave the PDP without a visible leader in the Gateway State.

Daniel was the campaign manager for Atiku Abubakar during the 2019 presidential election, helping the former vice president to a drawn primary victory.

Those that re expecting pdp back in 2023 will wait in vain. Even if pdp use atiku as president , kwankaso as vice and Tambuwal as senate president they dont have that political structure to push Apc aside .

You nailed it. I told a friend something similar last week. He was arguing and telling how APC has failed. Yes, APC has failed but the opposition doesn't have the structure to seize power from them

Apc has no ideology bt strongly believes in poaching to survive due to its weak ideology and cluelessness. This is because it is an empty and insecure party. It has nothing substantial to offer anybody and is in a constant state of confusion and rancor.

When Fergi left after using Webb and Queen to influence games I said it that Man Utd will be going on trophy draught. Same applies to PDP.
