And worse still, the medical services joined too. So any student that falls ill won't be able to access healthcare within school. Just too bad. |

Based on the situation reports, I give it to University of Nigeria Nsuka Enugu campus.. The students were the only institution based on this report that rose to the occasion and arrested their challenges... You can't sit and complain on an emergency situations.. get buckets and wash your toilets.. it's a desperate situation or u pay for it... 1 Like |

Increase the fees so that universities have enough cash to pay the striking workers and do other things We spend 3 billion dollars on education, part of which goes to universities South Africa spends 23 billion dollars on education. And they still charge high fees on top |

Vardanes2:do you know what you're saying at all?? increasing fees without improving the standard of living or per capital income of the citizens is another capital punishment entirely....can you compare the standard of living in Nigeria to that of SA?? just because you're comfortable doesn't mean every other person is comfortable (unfortunately this is the slogan of our leaders) do you know the billions of naira every varsities do generate on yearly basis?? do you also know most students are their own sponsors in school, where are this money going to?? To the pockets of the gluttonous leaders of course, increasing fees will only increase the money bag of the same corrupt entity, before dishing out suggestions, you have to weigh the pros and nays, unless you might become another failure like Buhari even when you become the chairman of a family meeting |

Slynation: Yes I do, and yes, it does not necessarily make me happy saying it. increasing fees without improving the standard of living or per capital income of the citizens is another capital punishment entirely....can you compare the standard of living in Nigeria to that of SA?? just because you're comfortable doesn't mean every other person is comfortable (unfortunately this is the slogan of our leaders) do you know the billions of naira every varsities do generate on yearly basis?? do you also know most students are their own sponsors in school, where are this money going to?? If you don't want increase in school fees, then stop complaining about how bad our universites are. This is what we can afford...and stopping looting in the campus and by government wont change much. |

Vardanes2:And you think the problem lies in the hands of increasing fees just to meet up the standard of other countries?? No bro, this countries is so miles away, why won't they borrow when recurrent expenditure is greater than capital expenditure on yearly basis, yet their is enough mineral resources to develop the country without looking elsewhere, In a nation where about 500billions are paid to senators for hardship allowance, over 250billions for Presidential feeding and political loitering/junketing round the world, where billions of naira are allocated for renovations while the entire educational sector is been given a meagre of 96 billion....high fees doesn't automatically translate to quality education, the whole system must be overhauled if we should expect something tangible in Nigeria, in fact students should be refunded back their money because I think they are been over-charged and exploited due to the substandard quality of education they received..... |

edoairways: $2500 to $4500 undergraduate $4500-$7500 postgraduate Rhodes University is the cheapest university in South Africa with a tuition fee range of R29,200 ($2174) to R50,700 ($3775). By contrast, Nigerian public universites charge nowhere above 600 dollars |
