Shasha mayhem not tribal conflict but spontaneous reaction to emotions ― Governors • Offer support towards rebuilding of market By Wale Akinselure On Feb 16, 2021 A delegation from the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) visited Shasha community in Ibadan, on Tuesday, declaring that the recent mayhem in the community that resulted in loss of lives and properties is not a tribal conflict but only a regrettable and spontaneous reaction to emotions.https://tribuneonlineng.com/shasha-mayhem-not-tribal-conflict-but-spontaneous-reaction-to-emotions- 1 Like 1 Share

Shasha crisis is as a result of distrust from the citizens toward the leadership of this country since the president has vowed to favour only his kinsmen that has been causing problems everywhere they go. Buhari is an ethnic jingoist who has destroyed this country beyond redemption 57 Likes 2 Shares |

One thing I've come to realise about this our leaders is that they do not want naija to break up, especially the northern governors plus northerners inclusive, that is why no matter the provocative tendencies from the west, there was no retaliation from the northerners yet,why because, they have more to lose if naija breaks up. One Nigerian favours the northerners the most, come to NNPC estate in Eleme and see how these guys live in good houses whereas most southerners are craving for such jobs in their own community. Nigeria favours our leaders and the northerners most . 72 Likes 4 Shares |

Just hope that others do not also spontaneously react to their brimming emotions. Whatever it was, the political consequences will not be spontaneous or limited to market leadership. That is for sure. 4 Likes 1 Share |

So northern governors can come down to SW after their people were attacked . Where have they been when their people have been attacking others? Even if they couldn't visit, did muscle pull catch them in the mouth? 18 Likes 3 Shares |

I like the way this is being handled. This isn’t the first time crisis would arise between Yoruba & Hausa. Ife scenario was more deadly and it was still settled. Shame on evil wishers from the yeast side. They’ve been put to shame again. One was even saying Hausa go come in full force to start a fresh war.. 6 Likes

Those hoodlums and barbarians responsible for the carnage MUST be arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law! Only actions such as those would be a deterrence to those who have such plans for the future. When they see that they can't get away with it, they'll think twice before doing such even if they're offered money. 1 Like |

omoluka: You can shove your laughable threat of division up your rectum because the North is already working towards it. Have you wondered why rail lines to neighbouring countries are hurriedly being built? The AKK pipeline project etc? Stop wallowing in self deception and smell the coffee. |

Continue to blame social media, useless leaders. People are aggrieved, and lost hope in government to protect them. They felt a particular tribe is given preferential treatment over others and you except emotion not to set in. The era for waiting for government that can’t protect lives an property has past. If you can’t respect your host and you do nonsense you see nonsense, no time for rubbish. 5 Likes |

EcoBrick:You can't have two leaders in one place, Seriki Fulani Baale shasha These is wrong, the seriki role must be rotational their by not giving these guys the feeling that they own the land, The baale is the leader of everyone in the community including the seriki himself. 5 Likes |

Governor Abubakar Bagudu (Kebbi) made this declaration when he led Governors Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Bello Matawalle (Zamfara) and Abubakar Bello (Niger) on an on-the-spot assessment visit to Shasha market as well as meetings with the Baale Shasha, Amusa Akinade-Ajani and Seriki Shasa, Haruna Maiyasin. So we have Baale and Seriki Shasa? Not even Serikin Hausawa? This is an aberration! 5 Likes |
