Tell them oooo. They know nothing. Let them go and ask the price of bell pepper and other veggies... coon tomato will be gold again. Lol. They make the hausas richer daily and they dont know. It's why they have money to pay for guns and weapons. They are busy shouting on nairaland. Mu.mu people.

How do you know the Yoruba's are happy. Go watch BBC pidgin. The lady interviewed both sides. They killed many Yoruba and destroyed their properties. . THe issue is that everybody is coming out with different reports. I read one report that even said 100 Hausa's are killed. Our security agencies should come with a comprehensive report. Tell us the real figures. In a sane clime, they would be holding daily briefing.
did u see some videos online? it was posted by some yoruba ppl mocking the Hausas while dey liv the vicinity n u said dey are not happy? dey even call them names I understand yoruba , my fear is if dey start here the yorubas live in a particular settlement in kurna it will b easy for them to carry out revenge

Small boy pepper seller 1 million? Bros na golden pepper you dey sell? Abi na you dey supply pepperoni all their pepper..
You have a small mind or you don't understand how the business world works. Is a million naira too big to be owned by a wholesale pepper dealer? Dont estimate the worth of any business by just the daily or onetime earnings from sales. Also look at how long a person has been in a particular line of trade. Many young people think like you do and that's why they overlook a lot of promising Ventures and take to crime or get stuck in poverty and blame the government for not spoonfeeding them.

That’s mean. Showing some empathy wouldn’t restore his losses but people lost lives and their goods.
It was sad what happened there. There shouldn’t be a repeat of that anywhere.

Let’s embrace peace.

Don't mind the guy. I live in that area, and the Huasa traders started the burning first...they burnt down dozens of shops owned by Yorubas on Friday, before Yoruba indigens retaliated on Saturday. How can a people have the nerve to burn shops and properties owned by their host...it is mind boggling.

Stupid comment from a myopic person. Why did the hausa kill a Yoruba man in his homeland?
The Hausa man who caused fracas in the first place is walking free because his hausa brethren deem it fit to hide him from police arrest.Despite this the hausas burnt Yoruba shops and houses on friday before the Yorubas strike back on saturday.

The fight is between Niger hausas vs Togolese Yorubas.

Everyone know ethnic tension is very high at the moment due to insecurity and insensitivity of the Govts.

No one is a saint here.Get your facts right before making comments. The video circulating on social media is an old video presented as a new one.

Why are the hausas always fighting Yorubas in the market?just last month there was hausa/Yoruba clash in Oshogbo.
They need to respect their host, control their anger and abide by the laws of the host community. They need to stop walking around with dagger or sharp instrument to kill and maim host community.

If the Yorubas are wicked you can relocate to Hausaland where they will kill for Danish cartoons, elections etc.

The consequences have not hit Ibadan people yet. Shasha market was one of the biggest agricultural hubs in the Southwest, and certainly Ibadan's largest. Ibadan people don't know how to cook or eat without tomato, pepper and onions. With the poor state of agriculture in the Southwest, they should prepare to pay through the nose for the luxury of eating. I give food prices in Ibadan until this weekend before it starts skyrocketing beyond reach. I would venture to guess that no new trucks have entered Ibadan with fresh produce from the North since the Shasha incident. And this is not looking like an issue that will be solved in a week or two.

Anyway, wetin concern me. At least it will be an example to other cities to think before rioting.

By the way, those who think that a N20million claim for someone dealing in tomatoes sounds fake doesn't know zilch about the agricultural food chain. This man is probably not among the top ten richest traders in that market if N20million is all he lost. To those sitting behind their wooden desks in a shared office signing vouchers and requisition notes for N100 bribes, N20million seems like an unattainable dream for a tomato seller. Sit down there.

Is that the reason you also must support your people willing them? Ifs life we are talking about naooo. Are these hausas fulanis for goodness sake? They sell veggies in your Ibadan just to give you food. If you chase them away, what will happene to you? Bros...if hausa stop supplying tomatoes, you all will cry. Let me tell you the truth. Go and check the record. Anytime there is no supply from the north, your ppl in the south increase prices serious. Tomato is cheap now cos there is mass supply from the north. You people should think oooo. Most of those hausas are friendly.

See, all your comments are misleading people, esp those abroad. Some of those hausa muslims are better than Igbo and yoruba moslims or Christians. I can leave my money with hausa. They are trustworthy. Can I do that with Igbo or yoruba? It is what we all know.. these people are not that bad like these mad people are falling about them.

I know Fulani herdsmen issue is on another level. Bro, these innocent people dont deserve what they gave them in Ibadan. Too bad. Ha ba! Ifs blood we are talking about and tou all are happy. Cos they are Muslims? I deal with them. I know them. They arent violent. Anyone can say anything. If is cos person has not dealt with them directly. I pray the person also see reasons to try and test these hausas. They are loyal.

You completely lost human conscience with no aorta of mercy. Is this what ur religion taught u?
The man lost properties worth millions not cash.
Initially, u said herders should respect host communities now u blame the crime of one man on thousands of people to the extent justifying the killing by mocking the dead.
The real barbaric illiterates have been exposed now because the attack and arson out of envy on Hausa-Fulani traders is a barbaric action not worthy for normal human beings.
No Northerner has ever come on social or mainstream media and accept the action of Fulani herders but the so called educated illiterates are now generally praising the killing of innocent traders and looting of their properties.
If the idiots in that location can protest the alleged killing of invisible protesters in Lekki why should they be silent about killing, burning and looting of particular ethnic group's properties and lives?
All the church/tribal Human Right hypocrites organisations are silent because they only know how to disturb and proliferate propaganda.

Very true. That's why I was shocked when I heard they were burning shops in Sasa, Ibadan...why would you burn down the market that has been making you rich. I live 5 minutes walk from that market...I use to go there every evening to buy fresh fruits. That place is like an extension of the North in Ibadan...80% of the people there are northerners.

I doubt that any lessons have been learned. When I was criticizing the way hate speech was being spread on forums like NL and other social media, my fellow wise a terrorist sympathiser and apologist. Let us continue prefixing the name of every criminal caught or suspected with his tribe and religion, and invite more hatred amongst ourselves. Isn't inter-tribal rioting and anarchy what people engaged in hate speech were aiming at all this time? Because it sure looked like it.
