This one is little compared to the 2yrs heart break of DPR and worse is even getting to interview level and meeting people that have less technical background, at the end of it all is on nairaland i found out that they have finished recruitment and some people were employed at director level... I pray this is not one of such kind and God will at this time restore the years that we have loss. Amen

DPR broke me, bro. It was my first experience and I was naive as to how recruitment worked in Nigeria, until inexperienced personnel were recruited to fill EH positions, then it dawned on me.
It was an eye opener. A painful one, but at least I got to know how things work in that sphere.

Please, I want to state here that my comments are not meant to discourage anyone, they are meant to expose the realities of recruitment to the fore.
Perform well at the test and interview, but goan pray. Pray hard for grace. The grace that God will connect you to a helper, because people who didnt partake in the process may be amongst the first to be issued APL.
Everyday I pray concerning this recruitment. I'm not banking on performance or any such thing.

2) The remaining states will share the remaining 40 - 50% slots equally...

I have been opportuned to benefit from something of this nature in the past and saw the division pattern..

60% of 10 will be 6 candidates. Plus the states most times considered as Niger Delta are actually 9 and not 10 ( Rivers, Bayelsa, Edo, Delta, Cross River, Akwa Ibom......some occasions Ondo, Abia, and IMO). First it might be hard to tell if they are gonna use the core Niger Delta states (which excludes Abia, Imo, and Ondo), but I know NDDC considers all 9 states as Niger Delta. Criterion for them is probably oil producing.

Regardless, try to understand that percentages are different from actual figures

Getting the job is different from knowing basic mathematics, obviously someone can fail the numerical section and get every other section right, or better still someone can fail the whole test and still get the job through the right connection..

But getting the job doesn't mean that making mathematical errors is allowed... What you have is that resources are allocated to each member states based on their oil production figures.

For your information, Akwa Ibom is number 1 in terms of production. And Ondo produces more than any of Abia, Cross River, Edo and Imo. I know it might be difficult to believe this, but you can always do your findings.

The 6 states are SOUTH SOUTH states, those other 3 states you mentioned are not South south, ondo is south west, Abia & imo south east. If they had given NIGER DELTA more slots, abia, imo and ondo would have benefited.
