Nigeria cannot maintain natural grass professionally.
World cup pitches have some hybrid synthetic component to it. Check out Brazil 2014 and Russia 2018
yeah, synthetic root fibres to strengthen the root of the natural grass. but enyimba turf is like growing natural grass on top of artificial grass not root fibres. natural grass feels and drains better than it.

Maduka Okoye

Okoye NT Stats - 5 games (4 starts), 6 goals conceeded, 1 clean sheet.

20/21 league stats (Eredivisie): 15 games (all starts), 21 goals conceeded, 5 clean sheets.

All comps: 18 games (all starts), 26 goals conceeded, 5 clean sheets.

Francis Uzoho

Uzoho NT Stats - 16 games (15 starts), 16 goals conceeded, 5 clean sheets.

20/21 league stats (Cyprus): 6 games (all starts), 6 goals conceeded, 2 clean sheets.

All comps: 7 games (all starts), 7 goals conceeded, 2 clean sheets.

Daniel Akpeyi

Akpeyi NT Stats - 17 games (17 starts), 18 goals conceeded, 4 clean sheets.

20/21 league stats(SA PSL): 10 games, 7 goals conceeded, 5 clean sheets.

All comps: 15 games (all starts), 14 goals conceeded, 7 clean sheets.

Angles:

Okoye - plays and starts in a higher league than all our goalies. Kept his only NT clean sheet in our last game.

Uzoho - Boasts WC (started all games keeping a clean sheet) and Afcon Experience (started one game. Kept a clean sheet).

Akpeyi - Boasts Afcon Experience (started 6 games and kept 2 clean sheets).

Also, Okoye is 21. Uzoho is 22. Akpeyi is 34.

Nerdie. Good job.... Any latest on Arthur Okonkwo of Arsenal playing for Naija? I also saw one Areola in Fulham goal, any move by NFF yet?

Arthur is on the radar of our coaches. But I don't think we have made a concrete move as regards to his turning out for us.
As for the lad at Fulham.... Alphonse Areola. He is french ooo. Lol... No allow the "Ola" fool you. grin

Also in action same time as the Burnley/Fulham and Leganes/Almeria games is Nigeria's Lord of Goals in Europe this season so far... Ebere Paul Onuachu.

He will be in action for Genk away at KV Oostende in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.

what is the conclusion of the matter nerd? I think Rohr is making a mistake with his plan to hand over numero 1 to maduka on a plaster of gold. Uzoho was injured and it is wrong to sideline him to the bench without giving him the opportunity to reclaim his numero 1
Spot.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 6:40pm On Feb 17, 2021
The conclusion of the matter is that I think Rohr is making it too easy for Okoye. I believe a fair approach is to keep the #1 spot open between both Okoye and Uzoho because Uzoho was number 1 before his injury and is back doing well again and displacing his Competition at APOEL just like Okoye also displaced his Competition at Sparta.

Both keepers are good but we cannot deny Uzoho edges Okoye in big game experience and in having the ability to organise his defence better at this point.

Okoye has the potential to get even better and become our true #1 in the long run but right now, I am still not convinced he deserves the #1 spot because I believe right now, Uzoho is the better Goalie. Rohr should have made him fight it out with Uzoho and not handing it to him just like that. But shaa... Rohr's cross. Time will tell.

He could return to match action as soon as Thursday it seems. So good to have "The Naija Robben+" back. cool

That goal was Sadiq's 20th goal of the season in all Competitions for both Partizan Belgrade and Almeria.

In the La Liga Smartbank, it is his 12th goal in 18 starts.

Another one who is Inevitable. The Big Paul of Belgium.

His 23rd league goal in 25 starts (27 games overall). His 24th goal in all Competitions. Still in the Top 5 of the European Golden Shoe rankings 20/21. Will publish the latest standings soon after this game.

That was Aina's 2nd EPL goal. For a fullback, he has 2 goals and 1 assist in 20 EPL starts.

Comfortable on Fulham's right and left. Aina is truly at home in England.
