akinola98: Not mutual funds ooo, but if you have N100 million you will get Investments that will give you 10% and above. United Capital just started a margin lending at about 25%. It is part of the billions in their custody that are used for this. An investor will N1 billion with them can do placement at 12% per annum 1 Like 2 Shares |

I continue to expect yields to rise. Double digits in the TBills market is possible in 2021 but my mind is in 2022 already. emmanuelewumi: |

ahiboilandgas: If true, he deserves to die. you can only take risk with your money and not more than 20% of your foundation capital in which you can comfortably over look in cases of unforeseen circumstances that can occur in any other biz. Investing someone's money is criminal. Why did the sister leave such an amount with someone that doesn't have such an amount, tempt not the lord thy god. if you have billions then you can joke with 50m and the person wouldn't go as far as committing suicide in an event of any miscarriage. 1 Like |

RayRay06677: It is relative. With the Investment houses with N100 million cash and above you can get certain privileges. You need N500 million and above to buy juicy bonds on FMDQ 2 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Nobody: 11:23pm On Feb 19, 2021 |
TotoNaRubber: You need 50m. But don’t be deceived by those high coupon rates o. It is the marginal rates that you should be looking at not the coupon. Except for the 2045, you will be paying more than the face value of the other two bonds to effectively give you lower yields than the coupons. You will however be getting a discount for the 2045 to give you a marginal rate higher than the coupon stated. But who in their right senses would buy these bonds when rates are expected to increase? 1 Like |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Nobody: 1:45pm On Feb 20, 2021 |
just2endowed: To leave and go and invest where sir? Look at the marginal rates (not coupon rates). There is nothing spectacular about those rates. The slight increase compared to last auction was because demand was lower this time. Investors are anticipating an increase in rates and have chosen to just wait it out instead of tying themselves to these low rates on bonds they won’t even be able to sell at a good price when rates increase. 1 Like |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by RayRay06677(m): 3:39pm On Feb 20, 2021 |

Rich men still have to work hard to sustain their (cash flow) riches, while wealthy men does very little or nothing to sustain their wealth. We have so many rich people in Nigeria, but few wealthy men. emmanuelewumi: 3 Likes |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by emmanuelewumi(m): 4:02pm On Feb 20, 2021 |
RayRay06677: The main difference is sustainability of the money. A rich man will continue to work or hustle in order to maintain his status and spending, if not his money will be exhausted. 6 Likes

Donbrig: Correct. The rich man has an active income, while the wealthy man has a passive income that can take cares of his expenses 6 Likes |
