Before going to aboki,if you have a return ticket, your bank will give equivalent of 2900 pounds. So you can try that for a starter. However load your naira card you can buy ALOT on amazon paying with naira card
Verve/Master card? are you aware of the 100 dollar (or it's equivalent),maximum policy of CBN, for international transaction on naira card?

70 pounds a month is a good sum of money for a single person. Can get you 2 weeks' worth of food.

gtb uses 576.
Best banks with manageable rates are gtb, first bank, ecobank and zenith bank which exchange pounds for 580 and below and USD for 420 and below.
As for uba, fcmb and access bank you will cry

Pls I would really appreciate it if help/clarifications can be given from this house pls.

I am preparing to submit my study visa application. I got admission for September 2020, last year, and I opted for studying online as a temporary remote learner to resume 2nd semester this year. My university just issued me a CAS this week and I'm planning on applying next week. I am self-sponsored.

Is there a need to state where I got the funds from like using a "gift of deed letter" from my parents or something?
Is there any need to submit a work reference letter (or any work-related doc) for the visa application?
In my 28-day bank statement, there was a deposit of 300,000 naira from my mum, Is there any need to explain this pls?
Is there a need to attach a cover letter explaining how much I have paid and how much I have for the application, or that I wanna have started online remotely as given by the school?
Sorry for the many questions, Your response is highly appreciated.
Thank you!!!

1 verve,1 visa and 5 master card, all naira debit. That automatically gives us 700$ per month equivalent of 500 pounds and Amazon's rate is 571 to 1 pounds

Before Covid wahala....interview was part of the UK visa (embassy) process so for a lot of schools , they usually conduct their own interview with similar questions to kind of judge if the student will pass the embassy inteview or if not ready. If the student fails their own school inteview then the CAS is not issuerd by the school and the its a dead end

Now Covid has made inteview to be suspended by UKVI however some students are randomly called for interview so some schools have kept that pre CAS INTERVIEW. If your school does it then you have to prepare well for it and it would also come in handy later if you are randomly selected by UKVI for interview. There are lots of pre Cas interview guides on Google

My only concern how come you didn't know about this before paying fees . I would have expected all the steps to be told to you

1.Please I need clarification on the difference between online application and one submitted at the TLS.
2. Does one have any advantage over the other?
3. Can we choose the date we want for biometrics or is it automatically assigned?

VISA VISA VISA!!!

I don't know where to start but these last 42 days have been something else for me but I thank God the end of it is sweet.

Submission - 10th December
(28 day count started on 7th December. This was the primary cause of my sleepless nights when people told me I should have waited for the 28 days to be complete before submitting, that it's automatic refusal. Some even asked me to cancel the application and start again. This was difficult for a family of 5 so we prayed about it and moved on - God answers prayers o)

Biometrics- 7th January (standard)
Now the long wait began.

Non straightforward mail - 25th January (12th working day)
Like play like play, it reached 29 working days. No mail, nothing. Hmm!

Decision confirmation mail - 15th February
After several mails and back and forth with UKVI

Collection mail - 17th February

Collection - 18th February
All 5 of us got our visas

I appreciate everyone here especially @lagosismyhome @mimilyrics @sandradee @wakandaprincess

Thank you all.

For those waiting like I did, you will all get yours too. Its a matter of time.

How come your biometrics was done nearly a month after submission. Did you choose the date yourself?

Morning all. For those who submitted TB test form already, on section 4 & 5,wot do you have to fill. For an applicant whose financial support is family but living maintenance on his/her personal account, wot is advisable to tick for section 5.
Lastly, which 9ja bank at present is good to process formA, rate, roughly bank charges/commission on formA.
Thanks
