SOUTHWEST NIGERIAN YOUTHS LISTEN, As intelligent as the Yorubas are (claim to be), we have been unable to string together the constitutional processes that will lead to the peaceful dissolution of this unholy marriage in Nigeria. Well, I think it is now left to the youths to find the way to do this. The older generation, if they could, would have. It's no point looking up to the elders again. Yoruba say "àgbà ò ní wà l'ọ́jà kí orí ọmọ tuntun wọ́", but even orí àgbàlagbà gan tí wọ́ bayi. Àgbàlagbà sef need person wey go straight his head. To distract intelligent citizens from the legitimate process needed to effect a constitutional restructuring is the gimmicks that the divide and rule actors play. Every now and then, they will mislead you guys to think that it is an ethnic war that you need to fight. They make you believe that it has to be war with other ethnic groups. No. That's a lie from the ones who want to distract you from how to go about the real issue. Everything rises and falls on the laps of the members of the two national houses of legislatures. The agbádá wearing stinkingly rich, luxuriously decorated lawmakers who facilitate boreholes, solar street lights and distribute rice and salt to members of their constituency as constituency projects. They do all things but make laws that will move the country's youthful population forward in life. They are the people through whose pens and offices you will effect the decision to change the constitution for the greater good. That is the meaning of the votes you gave them or the one they bought from you. Your governors too will not speak of the need to dissolve this marriage because after his tenure as your governor, he has an eye in the senate where he can be for life, receiving senator's salary and governor's pension - FOR LIFE. (If these men don't deserve to be hanged, I don't know who deserves it. There are no bigger criminals in the country than Nigerian politicians). * Southwest has 18 Senators (3 from each of the 6 states) * It also has 54 house of Representative members (9 from each of the 6 states). These are the people to make "war" with. Southwest youths, tell these men (through letters) in the Houses to move immediately with the process to dissolve this marriage called Nigeria or tell them to forget their houses back home. Bombard them with letters. Visit them in Abuja with placards. Do videos, Tag them on all social media handles. Harrass them wherever you see them both offline and online. If they don't effect the change in the houses, let them from Abuja be traveling abroad. Let them know that they have no place in the community anymore. If the kings try to curb you from taking that stand, tell the king to either join his voice with you or open the Calabash and go join the ancestors if he doesn't want true freedom for you. Ojú bọ̀rọ̀ kò gba ọmọ lọ́wọ́ èkùrọ́, we had better come to understand this and follow it stubbornly or say goodbye to freedom. Nigerian youths cannot achieve their full potential with the current Nigerian structure. Don't be deceived. 1. Organize yourselves through social media (whatsapp or telegram) as a group of concerned youths. 2. Appoint representatives from all the senatorial discritcs and federal constituencies within southwest, southeast and southsouth (we share a common struggle with these people and the alliance is needed for the numbers needed in the houses to effect the needed change). 3. Move for a restructuring that will ensure that every state in Nigeria functions as an independent federating unit that has authority over its Security apparatus (Police - not one controlled from Abuja); and a state that has authority over its natural resources and free to pursue exploration of the same for the economic benefit of the population within the state. 4. Vehemently reject the status quo which makes the southern part of the country the home of the natural resources upon which the northern part of the country feeds its large population of legislators without commensurate contribution to the national treasury. In a federal system, each state will finance the center from a percentage of its produce. In our present system, states from the rich south have to get money from the federal center which is full of Northerners. So it means that the North is the one sharing the resources of the south to all. 5. Stay on this course no matter how long and how strenuous it will take to achieve it. The Òrìṣàs are with you and will continue to weaken your enemies even as you stand on this path of TRUTH for the development of all, rather than the system designed to benefit a few. You have become rocks and your enemies have become eggs, as you crash into them they break into pieces, if they crash into you, they break into pieces. Dear youths, join hands together now to fight for your future. Ayobami Ogedengbe (c) 2021 https://mobile./612009466174532/permalink/719098935465584/?_rdc=1&_rdr 3 Likes 1 Share |

Break up is impossible but regionalism is very possible and a realistic solution GDP wise SouthWest relly on patronage of other Nigerians, Apapa Seaport serves the whole country generating income to SouthWest and Nigeria, our entertainment industry strives on patronage of Nigerians, most of our brilliant minds are technocrats in other regions Federal allocation wise Only Ogun , Oyo and Lagos can have enough money to pay for Teachers, doctors , civil servants from current Internally Generated Revenue To better understand why we need to first be self sufficient before a break up, take a look at the 3 years Republic of Biafra, 3 million people starved to death while Ojuckwu a 33 year old youth that started it ran off with only his family a jet and his favourite Mercedes Benz, the simple reason was that they couldn't produce what to eat but relly heavily on same Nigeria . 1 Like |

Breakup is not impossible but peaceful breakup might be because the Fulani would not want to let go a rich and knowledgeable south. But it is very possible. SoulMus: 1 Like 1 Share |

Instead of telling us to go and be writing letters around, have you convinced us on the need to support an Oduduwa nation? You think it is everybody that convinced that an Oduduwa nation is an Eldorado? Yorubas in diaspora really need to do better than they are doing in this campaign. You don’t need the youths to write any letter. Convince everybody including the governors, senators, reps, business folks, civil servants, students, youths etc of the viability of an Oduduwa republic. Tell us how you intend to run the new country. Address the concern of so many interest groups before telling us to write letters. You can also come back home and form a secessionist political party. Nigel Farage did not stay overseas to fight for Brexit through social media. He formed UKIP and won election to British parliament to be able to push for UK independence. You guys can do the same. Finally, attacking Yoruba political leaders who are yet to subscribe to your agenda is senseless. It is similar to what Kanu is doing. At best, you’re simply helping the opposition party and giving more fuel to the other groups in Nigeria that hate the Yorubas. Stop it! 3 Likes 1 Share |

A regional government is better and much easier to achieve in our generation. And it makes more sense However, many northern elites believe it's a plot against them. 1 Like 1 Share |
