It's not a joke.
The Benin request should be a worry to South East igbos. Soon Nigeria will be ready to discard the resourcesless and parasitic South East to Nnamdi Kanu to form his Lesotho-like land locked country. Thereafter, the plan is that Benin will take it place. Works have commenced since in drawing Memorandum of understanding secretly between Nigeria and Benin. The issue started even before Obasonjo government and around 2003, the Benin Republic attempted to recandle the request but the Bakase saga scared obj not to make any serious commitment. He only impressed on them to keep pushing. It is unfortunate that the foreign minister has came to the public with it now because he is igbo just to forewarn his fellow igbos senselessly thinking that Nigeria will at all course want to keep them within it sovereignty.
