Akanbiedu: I know exactly what you mean but many Nigerians are too myopic and sentimental to fathom your point. Several Northern Governors went humbly to Oyo to dialogue with Makinde over the Fulani insecurity saga. I stand to be corrected but did they ever converge on hard-hit Benue like that? Buhari even invited the Ooni for dialogue. Has he invited the traditional leaders of others in the past over insecurity and I missed it? Yet they are bombing and trying to rout ESN in the SE as some of us predicted would happen eventually. They will succeed in the end because militias can't fight governments unless the government itself is covertly supporting that militia or behind it . The point is that the North know and understand the relation they must have with the SW they are not obligated to have with others. It is the reality and truth most Nigerians don't have the maturity of mind to accept. 7 Likes |

Mikecold: Lol... "Continue funding your occupation"? Like I said, in this country o, it's not gonna be business as usual.... Let's watch out how this pans out sha..But I'm very sure the least you'd get in that path is total restructuring if not complete disintegration. Bring the game on! Maybe you don't know that being in the Opposition is not a new thing to the Southwest... Lol... Imagine these mofos threatening the Southwest with Presidency.... Tell that to people who have never tasted it either in Military or Civilian rule. 2 Likes |

Oshigun: Pure, unadulterated delusion of grandeur. Any assumed obligation has been eroded by recent events, and I find it amusingly surprising that you all cannot smell it. Right now, the SS, the goose that lays the golden egg, are in pole position to clinch the Presidency with overwhelming northern support. As much as I love Tinubu for his loyalty, his region can no longer be trusted to protect northern interests and that has always been the compass that determines our political bearing. Amaechi & Jonathan are the candidates to beat as things stand. There are actions, then there are consequences. 1 Like 1 Share |

Arewa1stSon:See, I don't need someone to build me roads or bridges in 2023. All I want is someone that will restructure this crazy system, so that North we never have to concern itself with how Southwest is govern and likewise. Be rest assured, whichever candidate the South present is surely going to put the North in place because Buhari has set a precedence.Your only option is that power remain in the North and will only speed up the desolution of this country, you leaders know this as well. I am going to vote for anybody from the south even if it's an Igbo person. 1 Like |

Arewa1stSon:Use your brain, people should fold their arms and be killed in their ancestral land because of 2023? You guys have culturalized violence and equate diplomacy and civility to be cowardice. Why is that it is always you guys that go to other people's region and still behave you own the place As an Igbo man or Yoruba ever killed someone in the north due to confrontation? Why do you guys support each other either right or wrong?? The foolish seriki was shielding the guy that killed someone and people feeled their dignity is being rubbished in their own land. The only language you all understand is force and it has to be used on you at every opportunity. You guys value no life and people will not fold their arms while you kill them in their land. Not too long ago, you are all making noise about your political strength and how you will retain power again in 2023. I laughed.I personally do not care where the next fool will come from as no one can fix the helpless country with the structure in place. Now people are awaked and you guys got the message. People are tired of it all. Your leader know any attempt to retain power is the end of the country, hence their change of attitude. If you think you can kill people and go free you are wrong you will be slaughtered in masses as well. An eye for eye makes the world a better place. Na only una waka come. Now you are scared of a yoruba becoming president because he may restructure the country to your disadvantage and scared of an igbo man because he may divide the country, and that is worse for you. Lol!!! We observe our how things unfold any stupid act of violence will consume you all. You are looking for war and it will be fought with strategy and intelligence not cows. 3 Likes |

Firefoxx1: Don't take that mischief-maker seriously. He is no Northerner. The fact is that the North is just swimming against the tide and "postponing the evil days" with all these machiavellian and arrogant machinations. We all see where Nigeria is inevitably and 100% heading towards without vital reforms. It will get to a stage where reforming Nigeria may even be too late if Northern political leaders do not drop the arrogant desire to always control other Nigeria so that Nigeria continues to be run how Northerners want it to be run. Soon, if we continue as things are, then there will be serious riots and conflicts continously till we have a Rwanda-style ethnic strife. The North needs humility to stop playing God over others who, throughout the world, have shown they are better leaders and achievers than Northerners. Soon those people, mainly the Yorubas, will outrightly reject how their own destiny is always held hostage to what the North wants. 1 Like |

QuotaSystem: Northern interest is not paramount to the Yorubas. Yoruba interest first in Yorubaland and Nigeria at large. We can't relegate our interest to the back just because we want to play to the gallery of the Sahelian. What do you bring to the table to warrant all the hubris? What will the Yoruba lose for falling out with the core north when they can play a spoiler to win the middle belt and northeastern minorities to their side or better still when they can exit Nigeria? The only people that need to be really worried are the Sahelian. The only people that will be cut out completely when the going gets tough. The only people that should be on their knees begging the rest of us. Forget about social media and go to the street and the real world. The level of distrust amongst Nigerians towards the core north is at an all-time high. From the minorities tribes of northeastern Nigeria to the middle belt, to south westerners, to south easterners. 2 Likes |

PaChukwudi44: The power remaining in the north will be more disastrous to the Igbos than any group in the south. You will not know this because of your hate for the Yorubas is more important to the interest of Igbos. I was in Owerri just this weekend, Incan see how welcoming they were of Yorubas and other southerners. I can see how the only problem they have is the Fulani herders that have made life unbearable for all southerners and middle belts. I can see that it's important that power must be wrestled away from the north and if you fail to see this, then we have nothing to talk about. 3 Likes |

TrueNigerian300: 100% correct and it has to be said the Machiavellian and unrepentant North, always reluctant to do the right thing by Nigeria and even their own people, boxed itself into this corner where they are today between the devil and the deep sea. An independent-minded Igbo President may certainly move to allow a referendum for independence of Biafra, or even Oduduwa Republic, like how David Cameron chose to do that on behalf of Scotland whereas other Prime Minsters before him had ruled out the option. An independent-minded Yoruba President may move to restructure Nigeria and deliver fundamental changes to her structure that will truncate for good the centrist control of processes the North has always favored. Either way, it does not look good for the North and this is why they are arrogantly and desperately 'shopping' for a southern stooge to replace Buhari. Whether said stooge is Yoruba, Igbo or SS does not matter. Above everything else, he just must be controllable, easily cowered and not independent-minded. 1 Like |

QuotaSystem: Arewa is a political pet project of the Hausa/Fulani and their Kanuris elites. The Yoruba intellectuals will continue to drum the injustices against Benue, Southern Kaduna, Taraba, southern Gombe, Kebbi minorities, Nassarawa etc the throats of northern minorities. We'll continue to push propaganda to win and weaken the hegemonic forces of parasitic Hausa/Fulani elites. The game will be play to divide and cut you, people, off. You plenty of enemies already in the north due to your greed and your hubris. I'm with what is happening to Tinubu, this will teach more Yorubas the lesson they need to learn and win more people and resource back to secessionist Yorubas. 1 Like |

We need restructuring of this country .Anybody from the souther that will be voted into power ( both president & senators ) must sign an undertaking with the people that they must fight for the restructuring this country and they will tell us how they intend to do that. I am sick and tired of "is our turn" with nothing yo show for it for years. 1 Like |

QuotaSystem:Who is this deluded guy? I pity your future if there is no more Nigeria, hence no more quotasystem. Try to retain the presidency and see where your sagacity will lead you to. Many people are now seeing northerners as the problem of Nigeria which is not totally true in all fairness. Your leaders are all smart not to fall for what happened in Ibadan. It would have been game over for you all. 1 Like |
