Who ever inherits this shit show of a nation as president has a big problem on his hands, I support a Yoruba presidency but it's not worth the life and well being of any yoruba man. What we really need as Yoruba's is a refrendum and flushing our lands of terrorists and economic migrants, and this can only happen if nationalistic minded yorubas start occupying the legislature and each south west state ensuring state of origin registration for all yoruba's

The president of the Federal republic of Nigeria can be impeached in a jiffy? Is this a joke or what? A president that enjoys the support of all lawmakers from the south. Wake up and accept the reality, bro. You’re losing it.

Who blocked Remi Tinubu's bill for Lagos to be given a special status?

Was it not Ike Ekweremadu? Was he a northerner? Lol. It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a president to enjoy unanimous support from pugnacious, greedy southern lawmakers.

Northern lawmakers clearly outnumber southern ones therefore in a polarized NA like you stated, frustrating & impeaching an unco-operative Jona would be a piece of cake, especially after the usual greedy horse trading & you know it. There are dreams bro; then there is reality. Wake up.

Pure, unadulterated delusion of grandeur.

Any assumed obligation has been eroded by recent events, and I find it amusingly surprising that you all cannot smell it.

Right now, the SS, the goose that lays the golden egg, are in pole position to clinch the Presidency with overwhelming northern support. As much as I love Tinubu for his loyalty, his region can no longer be trusted to protect northern interests and that has always been the compass that determines our political bearing. Amaechi & Jonathan are the candidates to beat as things stand.

There are actions, then there are consequences.

You are not the majority, the three regions in the South have more people than the north and if the middle belt is put into consideration the odds will strongly be against you.

The leadership of the army can easily be reconfigured to suit the whims of the president to push an agenda. Also, the army is dominated by northern Christians, not Sahelian.

If a southern president that knows how to play politics becomes the president, the easiest thing to do will be just to empower the middle belts and northeastern minorities.

I guess the context flew over your head.

How many LGA's are in the North compared to the South?

How many lawmakers per LGA?

Regarding population, even ignoring available statistics, who practices polygamy the most?

You know what? Never mind.

You are right smiley

Southern presidency is possible!!

But...

Dear south west... Forget anything presidency!!

Even if power is going to the south.... It will never be south west!!
You people have been canceled!!

Even if power is going to leave the north!!

It will be going to the south south!!

Just for the Records: Northerners in Oyo, Ogun etc were attacked, killed, properties destroyed and displaced in what was a planned ethnic attack.

No single Yoruba Leader either political or monarch came out to openly condemn this barbaric act.

we will never forget the killing of our innocent northern traders in the south west!!

Even most educated yorubas both online and offline justified the barbaric act!!

the NORTH remembers

Tell Tinubu that there's still time to form a political party that will bring the whole south together against the north!!

Atleast that will be a small challenge for the north... Than wasting his time and leter be kicked aside!

The north will never support a Yoruba into the corridor of power!!

Thank God that you people showed your hatred for the north on time....

I will even prefer an igbo man... My face to face enemy into power... Than a bloody back stabber!!

Just keep ranting. Where was the North when Buhari became the serial loser in political terrain. Only fools will forget so soon and claim that the people that brought them to power dont matter. Even El Rufai contested under CPC he was beaten black and blue in Kaduna until APC came to power. Continue to satiate your ego and see that you are in dreamland. Unfortunately, it will be too late for you and your likes

Northern population is a mirage and if you know anything about demography studies you wouldn't explain it off with the simplistic excuse of polygamy.

A thorough analysis will look at available arable landmass, industries, child mortality rate, availability of surface water, migration pattern etc.

In my fieldwork, I have had the liberty to travel to many parts of the northwest and what I see is an endless barren wasteland with no one in it.

Bros forget

you see tribalism apart pls do a little check ask some Northerners

ask some SS

ask some SE

ask some MB

ask some fulani if you have any around

if there's one thing everyone agrees on is dat

E NEVER REACH YORUBA TURN

or is it possible for SW to win with just their vote

the Southeast should be favorable although unfortunately there are factors playing in as doubt on their own side

we might just see a SS or NE presidency

E never reach Yoruba turn ,yen ,yen , yen .When has presidency become tribal rotational.? It is simply north and south issue not even sub region. North east has not produce president ,so also north central, we didn't hear na our turn ,even Goodluck Jonathan na accidental president, he was just fortune to be there .His tenure was not based on rotational. Nigeria presidency is not based on micro zoning .Another issue with south east is their ever ready agitation for biafra ,it is still on board other section of the country don't trust them and cant give power to them .Hausa want nigeria unity ,and you believe they will be secured if power reside in the east.

You don't preach unity to people that will easily slaughter you when there is small disagreement. People that believe it's is their birthright to lord over you when in reality they can't lead and do justice to all the ethnic nationalities in Nigeria.

What you get with Buhari is what you will get with Kwankoso, Tambuwa etc.

I understand your plight OK, I served during Jonathan/Buhari 2011 presidential election in North East, lost virtually everything but a Northerner saved my life, it was a horrible experience but I learnt something from the whole scenario.

Kwankwaso did everything against Jonathan in 2014 and Jonathan eventually lost the 2015 presidential election but barely 2 years after Kwankwaso returned to PDP and was busy celebrating with Jonathan. DO NOT TRUST OUR POLITICIANS, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE MASSES.

I was born and still resides in the north.
Hausa/Fulani only want an arrangement where they get to dictate all the terms.

Trust me, Nigeria will never develop in its current configuration and the Hausa/Fulani elites will rather die than allow it to be reconfigured in a way that will bring progress. They will continue to need a subsidy from the South and will continue to sabotage any effect to make it work because, in reality, a working Nigeria will put all the power in the hands of southerners.

I supported Buhari, I was a pro northerner in the past. I erroneously see myself as one of them due to religion and acquaintance but the truth is, the only thing they need all none Hausa/Fulani for is to win elections and shield themselves against criticism.

But we can't continue to play second fiddle to people that should be crawling on our feet.

They want to use the 2023 to divide the South on our resolute to end this backwardness called Nigeria. We, in the South West have told Tinubu and his co looters to forget 2023. We want Oduduwa Republic.
Look at their antics, they are inviting GEJ to contest the 2023 to make the South South back down on the END Nigeria struggle knowing well that GEJ can only run for a single term of 4 years having spent one term before, and the power will go back to the North for another 8 years. Please let all Southern politicians go and sit down, we want Nigeria to divide. Let the North go their way and the south go our ways. Na by force to live together?

The most important thing to establish in 2023 is dealing with northern arrogance. That must be done at all cost.

Totally agree. They need to be put in their place. Is it not pathetic how Northerners are absolutely nothing in meritocratic societies outside Nigeria, nada, yet they keep arrogantly pontificating to rule or be attached to the Presidency in Nigeria as if it is their birthright.

I guess I can understand. Political power and the Presidency of Nigeria are the only things that define Northerners as a people. Without those, they have nothing, absolutely nothing, to blackmail the Yorubas with or hold us to ransom over.

The North has gotten aways with a lot because of the lack of focus, dearth of critical thinking and absence of unity in the South.

Power is coming to either the South East or the South South! South West and North are COMPLETELY OUT of the equation! I will never support injustice!

Nigeria must better.

My brother, I agree with you.. But South East guys are nice too, forget the nonsense we see online. Trust me, I never see tribe wey like Northerners like the Igbos. A lot of them are my friends here... Just that most of the ones who've never been to the North have been fed all manner of evil propaganda about Northerners. But we shouldn't blame them. We should rather prove our niceness to them through our actions. Igbos are everywhere doing business. Nobody do one Nigeria than them. They're tolerant. They're loyal and friendly. Na why I dey ignore these nairaland IPOB sympathizers wey dey attack Northerners. They don't represent Ndigbo.

But e go better.

The power remaining in the north will be more disastrous to the Igbos than any group in the south. You will not know this because of your hate for the Yorubas is more important to the interest of Igbos.

I was in Owerri just this weekend, Incan see how welcoming they were of Yorubas and other southerners. I can see how the only problem they have is the Fulani herders that have made life unbearable for all southerners and middle belts. I can see that it's important that power must be wrestled away from the north and if you fail to see this, then we have nothing to talk about.

grin disastrous you say.
It may interest you to start having a form of understanding that most Ibo' are not in any way interested in rulership of Nigeria. Try to get your facts straight most times.

Chief Topmaike,
We no too know about this APC revalidation tin o.
We are not actually a card carrying member of any political party in Nigeria.
The only 2 guys we love in Naija politics are our darling Daddy and his amiable Vice.
Now, Zulum has joined the rank.
We only go to the polls on election day to cast our votes for good, honest men that meant well for the nation, no matter the party they are.
And you don't have to be a party member to do that.

Nigeria will be great again in our lifetime
This is the 1st time I tend to agree with your opinion, any other combinations will drag this country down like ur darling daddy ,bubu is doing presently.
I have deputised an illiterate chairman man before in a national youth association, even as a medical doctor, I know how difficult it is ,I even at a point wanted to resign. I'm optimistic that the combination of the 2 highly cerebral profs will help this country if ethnical politics won't interfere
