Osimhen is still Napoli's best striker so I don't see how a new coach will bench him

Don't say never. He isn't their top scorer a new coach might use an entirely different formation without a registered striker i.e pep team

but iheanacho wasn't starting simply because he didn't fit in pep philosophy. If gattuso gets terminated one of the reasons will be because of spending 75mil on an inexperienced Striker that hasn't scored a new coach might relegate him to the bench. (Make we use our upper for here)

Osimhen stretched out

Napoli midfield and fullbacks are trash!

There is no way a new coach will not want to use his best weapons available, if he doesn't start Osimhen who will he start, Insigne as a false 9 grin, he'd have to be incredibly brave to do that and if he fails he won't even be given a second chance

Osimhen taken to hospital after the match. He lost consciousness after hitting his head on the ground during the match

if gattuso is finished that might be bad for osimehn since osimehn is a gattuso signing and he has to justify that 75 mil . A new coach might relegate him to the bench. (People never learn for here)
let the new coach relegate him if that is what you want to believe. Gattuso is finished!

Man! Napoli may have fine players, bit they are useless as a team. Yea, Atalanta's pressing was nightmarish, but, they could do better.

It may be unfair to kick Gattuso Now, man has been grappling with injuries to his regular players. But, with Koulibali back, I believe their fortunes might change. He has a commanding presence in the back, pushes the attack, picks his passes well.

Man, I just wasn't feeling good about Osimhen's mates response to his injury, it appears to be really serious. This is really a major setback for the lad and the team.

It is not even about injuries they don't even have a style of play, they don't have a way of progressing the ball to the strikers and their wingplay is horrible

Gattuso may not be it as a coach

I watched them last season and early this season as well. They weren't this bad.

Remember, Gattuso was the one who brought AC Milan back into reckoning.

I would like to know how his Milan side managed to fair because this Napoli side doesn't play like a side that had the littlest of coaching

I have seen people on this thread, taking shots at osimhen, I decided to watch Napoli's match, some of you are jokers no cap, you try to sound smart, but know nothing...

Napoli is playing poorly, no midfield transition, poor performing wingers, I see a team who keep playing long balls to osimhen, who wins most of his challenges, without no support to transition, and someone who knows football will be mocking a striker of a struggling team, who is performing poorly, because he is from your country?..
For now, Napoli is playing poorly, and from what I see, osimhen is the only spark in the attack...

So please , you antagonist seeking glory, or best anti Nigeria players trophy should rest...

I watched the game too from beginning to end.

My observations are at dramatically different from yours.

Victor was essentially caged at best he was able to hold the ball maybe 2/3 times. He is VERY PREDICTABLE and if Napoli is poor he is also poor, you cannot escape from that fact.

He was not the most outstanding player for Napoli, as a striker he has a lot to learn. If he can score 10 goals this season he would have done exceptionally well.

His play just like his team is one dimensional. He wants the ball behind the defence to run on too, but it's way too predictable and VERY EASY for the Atalanta defenders to read and mitigate.

To be fair, I don't think that he suit Napoli slow style of play but it is only his first season hope his fans doesn't pounce on him. This guy will suit Liverpool free flowing counter attacking team

Agreed, his main attribute is pace, ball behind defenders to run on too. Crosses in the air with pace.

He is not technically good enough for Liverpool.

The Italian game is predominantly ball to feet and slow build up, very technical. These are not his attributes.

The funny thing is that iheanacho style of play fits italian football.
Onuachu fits english football with his aerial game.
Football is more about tactics than anything

The only reason you play is if you perform.

If you don't perform even your high price tag will not help you.

As for being Napoli best Striker, that accolade is EARNED not GIVEN. How many goals has he scored in Seria A this season ❓

Nah iheanacho issue is professionalism, dedication, seriousness and belief. He has already shown last season that he can hack it in EPL if you believe in him. Onuachu will fit in a team that has Good Crossers of the ball while Osimehn will fit in a free flowing team. He was very predictable and stagnant today. Maybe it is his injury sha

Good players adapt irrespective of the style.

For instance, whatever the style Ibrahomvich will excel.

However, if you are one dimensional you need a club and league that aligns itself to your specific skill set.

Pep didn't belief or even gave him enough chances. I think that pep doesn't regard African football culture he is a very strict and meticulous coach that wants his players Technically Gifted above any other thing

Who are the top goal scorer in Seria A for Napoli this season ❓

When you answer that question, then you will have a clear picture of the true situation.
