popizaino: We still finished second which is better than Peps first season and the nigga was still sacked in the tunnel. Reason for the decline in the quality of football was the board replacing Ballack and Deco with Ramires. Purely board decision to sign Ramires who was an Emenalo recommendation to the board. Even Belletti who Ancelotti sometimes played in midfield and could have been used to keep the beautiful football going left. You replace those three in your midfield with Ramires and still expect to play beautiful football? Like I told you, Roman knows absolutely nothing about football, he cannot even jog 5. Pep will be sacked from that first Man City season performance, and if he even survives, he will be given Bakayoko and Ramires the next season and told to play tikitaka with it. It's like you don't know that Russians and American lawyers who know nothing about football run our club down to the choice of player, with unrealistic expectations from the types of players they buy. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Melvyn11: Next time Fernandinho steps in and nothing spoil, mention me, so we know that City winning has nothing to do with Rodri. But don't mention me to give Rodri credit for team performance until he match the 98 and 100 points Fernandinho took them to. 2 Likes 1 Share |

patrickmuf: That someone is better than David Luiz does not mean he is a great defender. Even you are better than David Luiz and doesnt make you a defensive great |

airmark: You see ehn, when I asked "what makes Thiago Silva a great ", I was really curious to know those great feats he's achieved over the years Manning the defensive lines of various clubs and countries. I mean those arguments that can be made for him in the next 3 to 4 years when he's fully retired and people start talking about the great defenders that played in first 20 years of the 2000's . Yes Thiago Silva is better than them David Luiz and co...... but that greatness u talked about I’m yet to see it. Maybe u should’ve called Thiago Silva a good defender at best , but the way u used the word “Great “ loosely there ehn , e get as e be. He won’t make the top 5 defenders of this first 20 years of the 2000’s that I watched and can recall how good the players who played in it were , so once again I am interested in what makes Thiago Silva aside from the fact that he’s like Chelsea’s beat defender since dem John Terry retired . BlueRayDick:Individually, he has been in fifa and Uefa pro 11 trice. Is it because he do not have ucl and wc (which are team effort) that make u feel he is not a great defender. Or you want to tell me if sylva was to play for either Barca or Madrid or Bayern he will not bench one of the CB there. Since talent wise he is on par or even above the likes of Ramos, Varane, Pique, masquerano, terry, Vidic, etc, it is safe to call him great. These are the things fifa check too. 2 Likes |

airmark: Well, for me I believe that aside from a CB being very good at reading the ball, very good in the air, being a good leader at the backline , making timely interceptions etc....such player must enjoy successful years with his team(either at the national level or club level by winning a major title ) and such success must be directly attributable to his footballing prowess. It is only then I consider such player as ''great" I will gladly agree he is a good player for PSG particularly in the era in which they've dominated their domestic league with the arrival of their Qatari owners in 2011, but he isn't great defender you call him to be. That guy was always in the defense line when they get dumped out of Champions league year-in year-out. Like I said earlier, when great defenders of this era will be mentioned, Thiago's named will likely be missing. 3 Likes |

BlueRayDick: My brother, Thiago Silva won Copa America and Confederation's cup with Brazil and also was in the team of the tournament in both competitions. So i don't know what you are talking about. Oh, left to you, Nedved, Weah, Ibrahimovic were not great players because they didn't win UCL for their clubs and World cup for their countries, right?. You rate a player based on his individual brilliance, not only by winning UCL and World cup. Silva was in Fifa world best 11 thrice, Uefa team of the year thrice. He was not there consistently because he came from Brazil but for his top class performances which he was consistent with. If you like win World cup 7 times, if you are not exceptional in the competitions FIFA will only hand you gold medals, ask you to go home like Boathand while they honour those that are exceptional individually. 13 Likes

popizaino:Good football for Roman is success. There is no way pep will remain a Chelsea manager till now if he were at Chelsea after all that net spend and Lyon is still knocking him out. No type of possession football will save that manager; unless, Roman changes one day. But with the Roman we have seen over the year, pep would have been sacked since. 1 Like |

"We decided to speak to Callum in front of the whole group not alone. For us it was not a big thing. I know it can be sometimes. Still I did it and we had the only reaction we wanted he went back to a good mood and trained well. This is the lesson for us to learn." - Tuchel |

BlueRayDick: Based on your yardstick for tagging a CB, great, Silva is a great CB. That's the reason for this convo anyway, any other subsequent scope you are introducing is by the side and not relevant for now. Thiago silva is a great CB. 2 Likes |
