1, this is transformer based and it will consume atleast 70w when inverting on no load, note: i dont mean search mode idle power . so there is no way the no load power consumption will be 7w. to measure that accurately u will need a good battery monitor like BMV.
2, this is not a hybrid inverter, hence it has no batteryless function, it simply has a utility bypass mode, which most inverter comes with.
3, its a good inverter, but there are similar ones with better efficiency!

Please, help with the names of similar inverters with better efficiency than the SMR brand. Thanks, Bro!

OCTAVO:

Update:
I installed this inverter today.
This SMR inveter exceeded my expectations in all ramifications.
- Idle power of 3.5kv of SMR inverter is around 7w, (the 5.5kv is 12w).
- It doesn't make noise at all, the fans are very smart.
- The UPS functionality, is very efficient. You can never notice when PHCN takes light, it switches within 4ms. This is a very cool feature I so much wanted. Changing over from PHCN to inverter can be very tiring. cheesy
- Inverter works without battery, AC mode supplies mains efficiently with AVR.
- Bypass works when switched off.
According to specs, it has x3 surge power for 20 seconds (yet to confirm this).
I wonder why many people don't really know about this inverter.
Will I recommend this inveter? Definitely yes!

Nice review Octavo.

How did you determine the idle draw? Did you use a coulometer or any other device to measure the idle draw?

Does it have any other functions that standout?

How clean is the wave, any humming from any of your home devices?

And you forgot to mention anything about its charging behaviour. Like the max amps it outputs to charge the batteries and float behaviour etc.

Wilmaria14 came through, he delivered 3.5kva SMR inverter. Though there was a challenge with haulage (fault of the Haulage company).
We will surely do many more biz, stay competitive in pricing!
I'm yet to install it, I may provide an update when I do.

@wilmaria14, also delivered my batteries through haulage to my area which I picked up with ease.
thank you bro.

Good morning, your first question was what I expected. Any dismissive response (without using the inverter firsthand) would be biase and sentimental because technology evolves and nothing is impossible.
I didn't use a coulometer, I used a digital meter that can measure current. Idle current was hovering around 0.2A and 0.3A. I chose 0.3A which makes idle power 7.2w (for a 24v system).
I've been using inverters for a while, if this inverter had not performed up to expectation, I would have come here to dissuade everyone from buying it (without sentiment). I'm not loyal to any brand.

Sine wave is very clean and stable, no humming noise whatsoever.

What makes it stand out is inbuilt AVR, believe me it's very efficient as it outputs 220v steadily. My fans blows better than when they were connected to grid directly. So I no longer use stabilizer.
Max output Amp while charging is 35A, and it has the usual 3 charging phases. Charging amp can be adjusted based on percentage i.e 20%,40%,60%,80%,100%.
Charging voltage can also be adjusted based on preset parameters.

The only thing I do not like about the inverter is that, you can't see battery voltage, it shows only percentage. I have to rely on charge controller to see that.

Hey bro, why are you pained? I could see the frustration from the rubbish you just typed up there. If e pain you the more, come break my phone grin

Emmanuel, if you were the one i met with on one of the Saturdays in October, then you have no basis whatsoever to give this kind of response to that Nairalander, even considering that you have been warned severally to desist from posting your luxury and over-priced items that have consistently defeated the aim of this noble thread. It is really sad how the internet has made us lose our sense of respect and morality.

And just so you know, i havent forgiven you at all for that trip. I emphasized to you that i wanted to buy the NRGT Tubular series Luminous battery from a direct dealer coz of warranty issues, and you told me that you were one. I wasted my precious time, drove all the way from Ibafo to Alaba International that Saturday, only for you to start telling me over the phone that "the person wey get the battery dey road dey come. me sef dey road". I was shocked, coz i was i was under the impression that you owned the battery. I parked in front or First Bank (or so) and moved around with my folks until you came. When you arrived, you took me to a mushroom shop and presented one battery to me. I had to refuse coz i was scared for quality and warranty issues. You offered to take me elsewhere to buy it, but i refused as i became skeptical about the whole deal and had to back home like that.

It was the bro code that made me overlook the whole incident, but here you are trying to bite the fingers that feed you.

I do not call to question your ability to deliver when paid money, but whoever intends to patronize you here should be careful for quality and warranty coverage issues, coz with the prolific rate at which you post adverts here, i doubt you take the time and diligence to ensure the quality of the items.

Please leave this thread alone. If you keep making unsolicited long posts of ads, we will be forced to collectively report you to the moderators.

Thanks

One thing I will never do in this forum is to patronise any overzealous advertiser here. It even makes me seriously suspicious of your products and warranty. I can bet it that any overzealous advertiser here sell FAKE products and most of the times they are not the owners of those products they are selling. Its only when they see a mugu from here that wants to buy from they they start going from shop to shop looking for the item which they will sell at a higher rate so as to make their own cut. They really don't own a shop of their own. An Igbo man call is '' Oso afia''
If you buy from them, just know the item you bought doesn't have warranty and will likely be FAKE product.

@aboy80 u have said it all ooo. Pls be be careful of this guys from Alaba in this forum ooo. Ever since I have started using inverter buy full river battery from there distributor in Ojodu side . The last time I try wilmaria from this forum that’s when I knew those alaba guys are full of shits . We agreed on a particular brand of battery which he said is available after I made payment story change that the brand is not available again in the market. He end up sending rebranded GBM battery as Ritar for me ooo. Most of the battery from this guys at alaba is rebranded they will clean the original name on the batteries and put the brand name u wanted to buy and put it in a brown carton with same prints on it. I regretted buying from wilmaria. The funniest thing is that they have different Nairaland profile to post rubbish feedback here about their deals. Pls all Na lie oo
