Good morning Everyone,

I have been a silent reader on this amazing and knowledge packed forum. I have finally decided to break my silence and be a bit more visible.

We have applied for MHRM admission for DW at the University of Regina and we are hopeful that she gets. Application was submitted on 4 Feb 21 and its for Fall 2021. We hope for a favorable outcome in the admission process. DW has a Bachelors in Library & Information Science and CGPA of 4.33/5.

Godspeed to all PPR hopefuls here.

International students are guaranteed entry.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/travel-restrictions-exemptions.html

She may be required to stay in a specific government-approved hotel though for at least 2 days though.

Hello Frankrobbn1,

Please I have two questions as regards my daughter study permit, she applied for January intake in her school when she submitted her application to IRCC and has received PPR praise God. I know she need to send a new admission letter via webform as she did not start classes online.

1) For May intake 2021 in her school the program will be delivered online stating classes will resume to in class when the government allows, will she be granted entry into Canada at the border?

2) She has option for September 2021 it will be mixed both online and in class. Will it raise concern if she sends an admission letter of September and not of May to IRCC for passport stamping. Won't questions be asked why she is opting for a farther resumption date.

I await your kind reply.Thank you.

Good luck.

Please update when you hear back. Whether you'll be required to have a GRE or not.

Please is official transcript mandatory before admission to University of Calgary, or will the unofficial transcript be used for admission, so that after admission one can now submit the official transcript.
Gurus in the house please help

The truth is some schools accept unofficial transcript for processing the admission while they await the official one while some will ask u to send in the original before they touch your file sef...in whatever method you use, you'll still need the official transcript...

Good morning, gurus in the house.

Please I'd like to know if health insurance is often required for study permit application.

And if not, do Visa officers expect students to set aside money for health insurance?

More so, do most Canadian schools compel students to have a health insurance?
That onebwouod be settled when you enter canada..u don't need it now during study permit processing...

1. She'll be granted entry, yes!
2. Why is she moving to September again, just asked...But you can decide to resume with any cohort, in as much as it within your study permit validity.

Letter of Sponsorship is far different from Statement of Purpose (SOP)
I will advise you write a good SOP and raise it via webform. Just as you have rightly said, it is the bedrock of your application. It is what convinces the VO.

I am not sure federal universities sends transcript to individuals officially because they try as much to protect the integrity of the transcript that's why they send directly to companies or other universities however you can request for it to be send to a friend's company which gives you access to it or whoever on ground is helping you to FasTrack it can just kindly send it to your mail. Unofficial transcript simply means the original transcript which the students have access to, the official one is the one sent from one organization to the other .

In my school they'll either send to your email or you download it online...but why will a student alter a transcript when he knows the original would be sent from school, just thinking out aloud...

Hello everyone...
Please I need some clarification...
I saw a PhD advert for fall 2021... I sent in my applications comprising of only two documents they requested for. I got a response from the Professor that I should send my transcripts (these they didn't initially include in the advert).
Ever since... Two weeks now, I haven't received any feedback.. I want to ask if I can mail the prof to inquire about my application or not.
Thank you for your responses.

Have you sent the transcript after it was requested for?

If yes, there is no harm in sending a mail and politely stating that you have sent in all documents and just want to know if your application has been reviewed.

I don’t think there is any harm is sending a mail.

Prophet otunba, people do many things out of desperation, fear, many things we might not be able to understand but we shouldn't be naive about , when is your program starting and when do you intend to travel, how are you preparing your documents for port of entry, I guess with this uncertainty surrounding covid19, one would be advised to travel as early as possible to get some stability in case one get infected during transit and then not being able to resume on time because of extra quarantine and no one knows how long it would take one to recover, some take months, like 2 or 3 months before resumption should be safer to travel, just thinking out loud

Hello OtunbaTee

2) The only major reason it's because the mode of delivery is hybrid and not online like the may intake.

Please how do I know the study permit validity, she has not stamped her passport, trying to decide which admission intake to send via webform.

I noticed that for the family information (IMM5645) for the online document submission, there is no way I can sign it electronically.

Am I expected to download it, sign it, and then upload?

It's getting me worried.
