NextD18:To be honest, Kai Havertz is a big time flop. even Timo Werner put more effort in his game. What Timo Werner is lacking is goals and when he gets that form back he will shine in EPL but Kai Havertz, I see a loan deal next season. 2 Likes |

Amoto94:are our transfers as bad as barca? Or city? Or united self No team dey perfect, even nba with just 5 players on the court, some players don't gel together, some take time, patience and insight is the difference between kdb leaving and staying, it's not easy to move from old players to young players and maintain your quality, very hard Chelsea case is like this, managers will come and go, the club has to maintain an idea that will lead to long term growth for the club, we don't have a big stadium, we don't make enough money from other means like united, barca and madrid, that's why they built a loan army, it's like hedging, one way or the other, profit will be made or we get a good player that can be sold Chelsea's policy is to buy young players with potential and make a profit tomorrow with them, if some become stars they will help the team grow and when they get to 28 the club will sell them make a profit and start again Someone like havertz that was bought for 81m he is a long term player, if he becomes a star and excels at chelsea they will sell him for double the figure paid but they can't do that with mount Its this policy that helps us to make huge transfers that most teams wouldn't do, compared to most premier league teams, chelsea have been very conservative self, how many players have barca bought for above 100m Every top team will need 2 transfers every season to keep up, if you want to compete at the top with the best, 1 huge transfer each year, it's not cheap, stamford bridge can only hold 40k people, camp nou 100k, chelsea have found a way to make money and una dey wail, fans are ungrateful 2 Likes |

iamJ:Our transfers are as bad as Barca and worse than that of ManCity because we penny-pinch when we are supposed to go for top targets and spend wasteful amount of money on downgrades, Barcelona and ManCity have a big stadia and inflated sponsorship deals to cover for their losses plus trophies to show for it in comparison to our abysmal records in recent years. I'm not against developing talents and selling them for profits because the likes of Benfica, Ajax, Monaco, Schalke, and other clubs do this to some extent but are we really good at that? Imagine allowing Tariq Lamptey to go for 3m, Tomori the 2nd best defender owned by Chelsea will soon be going for 30m or so €, Salah sold for peanuts, Jamal Musiala whom we should have fast-tracked gone for next to nothing. I can go on and on about lack of squad planning and the impact on the growth of the club the successes we have made in transfer dealings are flukes not a testament of detailed planning. The Oscar deal was a maga something, likewise Mata, Hazard, and Costa 1 Like |

iamJ:You know fans are emotionally whip because the money nor Dey come from their pocket. Club management look at the business side more. The earlier they know every club have policy that work for them the better for their sanity. The coach should try Havertz warner upfront against mid table team. |

Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Havertz10: 6:28pm On Feb 23, 2021 |
hensben:it's too early to cancel havertz the way una dey do, Torres flopped for 2years and chelsea fans still had hopes Havertz hasn't really played, most times he was used out of position, guy is the most creative player in that team Havertz was short as a teen, he grew into that tall guy under a short period of time, he has said many times that he is still adaptating to his new size, covid is a respiratory disease, he is 21, in a new league, new competition and country, he isn't an established player yet, chelsea bought him cause so many teams were chasing him and we had the kind of money leverkusen wanted He can't just add weight, players have to maintain of very low level of fat to muscle ratio, if he eats anyhow so he can be more strong for english football, he will lose speed and have injuries, see hazard for instance Guy just needs time to adapt, if una think say chelsea football club will dump havertz project for mount una no know the club when una dey support |

iamJ: Nobody is downplaying his investment & passion for the club but he should tone it down on personal transfer dealings. All the players (Schevchenko, Fernando Torres, Yuri Zhirkov & Kai Havertz) Abrahamovic single handedly bought and foisted on coaches have flopped bar Kevin Debruyne, who didn't get his chance. Money spent on these ones could have gotten better players who would fit in & hit the ground running. 3 Likes 1 Share |
