SeaTrade:You don't know what you are talking about. For fixed income I don't know. For stock you are completely wrong. If you are into buying and selling.I have come to realize for you to be successful as most of you claim is to throw integrity to the gutters. You cut corners, cheat customers through different means. This is presently affecting me as I am trying everything necessary to be straight in retail business.I now see why retail businesses die easily if you are not ready to join the practice.I can't imagine what middle men want you to do when they bring customers to your shop even the ones from churches. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Biafran4life:One thing you have to know is that goods don't have price, you sell according to who is buying and there is nothing wrong about it,that's not cheating in anyway! When middle man bring client to your shop, sell according to the calibre of the client he brings and pay him (the middleman) his cut accordingly so that he can bring more customers for you. (Capitalism gives you a free market to sell as you like so long as a client is willing to pay what you bill him. Bad practices that I don't support is selling fakes as original and falsifying and inflating Bill's on invoices to fool the client. These are what I call wrong practices in retail.) If you don't comply with middlemen, your business will die soon as there are hundreds of others willing to comply which will even make me happy so that a person that is serious to succeed in business can takeover that space you are trying to waste from your holier than thou self. Be wise,no say I no be tell you. If I tell you to show me that money you have made from the stock market, you will start doing like epilepsy patient. Tell that to the birds, there is no money in that shit, the people that make that real money are the guys who own those trading firms who control and influence prices, the rest of you downplayers are just crumbies, all of you!!no single exception. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Sharmeenator: What do you want to invest the dollars in? If it's stocks, Bamboo, Trove, Chaka e.t.c will give you dollars, and you can pay them in Naira. If it's crypto, it's very easy to exchange NGN for BUSD, USDT or USDC on Binance. If it's Eurobonds, try Risevest or I-invest. My recommendation for USD is if you're investing. If you just want to speculate, try aboki. 5 Likes |

When business men start out, they plough back most of their profit into their businesses but as soon as the businesses become well established, they start thinking about how to cash out for themselves and their families. That’s when they start listing their companies or selling shares in their businesses to investors. What do you think Tony, Jim, Dangote, Ote, etc do with their dividends and cash from listing and selling some or all of their businesses? They invest the money in the same real estate, stocks and bonds that professionals and ordinary people invest their money and salaries in for their families (and to build generational wealth as some ogas will say). Even small businessman still need to invest some of him small profit from him small business. Most people don’t invest to earn a living but to preserve wealth made from where they earn a living. Nobody goes into business to suffer from stress until they die just because..At the end of the day, Businessman sef wan cash out at some point and when he cashes out, that money is kept away from the business (in investments). By the way, Dangote did not use his own money to finance the entire refinery. It was mainly financed by a consortium of banks. BUA group will also source a huge chunk of the financing for its refinery from banks. Rabiu will not finance the entire project out of pocket. These big guys have perfected the use of OPM (other people’s money) to make tons of money for themselves. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Lenders would commit about $3.15 billion, with the World Bank's private sector arm providing $150 million, Dangote said, adding that he was investing more than 60 percent from his own cash flow. Dangote Group has said that Standard Chartered Bank was arranging funds for the project. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by NL1960: 10:09am On Feb 24, 2021 |
ahiboilandgas: When a business is now big, the owners use OPM and no longer their own money. So selling BAU flour for $300m to Olam does not mean that he pulled out $250m from it to float the refinery. Btw, because of the 'small' salary wen dem dey pay me, my bank dey chase me to come collect loan and credit card. You think they will chase me if my salary is 'tasere' salary?. 5 Likes |

ahiboilandgas: We are just discussing to enrich ourselves and others. So many people have ideas but finance is the issue. That is why you have to get to a certain level before you can now command finances. That is why the rich gets richer. If you have access to $300m, can you not float a refinery yourself as Dangote and BAU has done?. 1 Like |
