You have got to always review your position based on the results being churned out by a company. If the results are no longer consistent with what it was when you took a position, no crime if you exit the company to preserve your capital.
Oga Rebekah you're right ..........BUT one quarter's result is not enough to draw up such conclusion as far as I'm concerned.
AFRIPRUD still remains a consistent Dividend paying stock for now.......until...

As big as GTB is, if the coy performs below expectations, you'll see how it will be dealt with.....before stabilizing...

We all need to study Zenith bank. How they make so much every year is still a mystery.

I sometimes thought it's only me, the hype around that stock is too much.......
It's just investors sentiments that I saw at play........ lipsrsealed

It's just like the case of Stanbic too, trading higher than others in the sector and will sometimes still come up with lesser.Dividend......what are they doing differently from the likes of GT & Zee that makes the stock a premium one? grin

Lol. I'm big on Zenith, but what I have learned is that GTB/Segun will never allow Zenith Bank outshine him. I doubt Zenith will catch up to GTBank.

GTB will pay N2.60k or maximum of N2.65k.

My opinion though

ACCESSBANK is useless when it comes to dividends. All this ambitious acquisitions Herbert keeps pursuing iimpedes their ability to pay juicy dividends like GTBank and Zenith.

You are right... Gratification from Access may take a while..
On account of this i've considered offloading in favour UCAP when it comes my bargain entry point. I still dey think am sha...Waiting to see UCAP's result for Q1 before making that call.

It is big sentiment dear. Go to any GTB brank and seek for the simplest of support or for your queries to be resolved or even send them a message on twitter. They won't even respond for months. It is not a retail bank. Most of the fraud in the banking sector also happens there.

ZENITH: All roads leads to this stock today.......
Over N1.1B done so far ....and still counting......
Though deep pockets are sighted on offer table with offers far outweigh bids, yet positive sentiments with juicy Dividend keeps investors buying.......
Can the mountain @N27 be leveled? We wait and see....... grin

AFRIPRUD: Bargain hunters sighted on bid table.........with bids far outweigh offers.......

ACCESS/UBA/FBNH/GT/FIDELITY getting attentions too........Zenith giving investors hope on these ones...... smiley

In terms of Dividend, UBA will likely pay much more than ACCESS............in terms of sentiments, ACCESS carries higher mark here.......we watch as it unfolds.......

OANDO: Surprisingly, this stock is also getting quite a lot of attention since market opens.......

Being the most efficient bank is not in terms of customer service. It's in the fact that GTBank achieves almost the same profit as Zenith, with a LOT LESS cash. The smarter folks here can explain this better

Effeciency in asset utilisation and not on people who bring in the money is penny wise, pounds foolish. It is only a matter of time before that bank unravels if they don't improve. Note what I just told you.

In my layman knowledge, I also think investors favour GTBank over Zenith because GTBank has much better corporate governance than Zenith. Zenith is really a one-man business. Uncle Jim has all the power he appoints and fires CEOs at will. Everyone knows the next CEO is that yellow lady who is currently the Deputy CEO and her story is long. GTBank has a lot more stability in that regard, and the fact that PepsiCo hired Segun Agbaje to join their board shows that foreigners rate him and the bank very highly.

I wish you could explain this more as I don't really understand. Do you mean that Zenith Bank will soon unravel in a negative way?

I also heard that 40% or more of UBA's loans are to its chairman, good ol' TOE. I don't think that's good for UBA

Check Zenith bank volume from last year even way before dividend was announced. You will see a pattern. I don't hold a single unit of the bank though.

The pattern changed since last year......
I wasn't a fan before, but that changed since last year......one of the reasons Nsempas can see me shouting Zee since then........think I wasn't disappointed... smiley

I mentioned that time, that Zee will close the gap with GT but it was argued out, especially when Zee was still dilly-dallying @circa N16/17............
Let's keep watching if GT will increase the gap or Zee will close in the more.......
