9credit loan company and other similar loan providers that operate in the same manner should be reported and banned permanently. The least you can do is to avoid them even if you are desperately in need of cash. If you wish to know why I say so then read this post till the end because I have some proof of what they have done to their customers which is capable of making someone commit suicide. Nairaland mods please this is not any kind of fight back, am only trying to prevent another suicide attempt or death from appearing on the Nairaland front page because of 9Credit. I will be the happiest person to see this post on the front page. 90% of the good rating 9credit got from the Google play store is from foreign paid reviewers and not real Nigerian users just to appear trustworthy before the eyes of Nigerians. Please if you have used the 9Credit loan kindly share your experience let people know. Why you should avoid 9Credit loan Before I go into details, below are the reasons why you should never use 9Credit as a solution for a quick loan. => 9Credit will insult you and call you names and threaten your life. => 9Credit will send abusive messages to all your contacts telling them that you are a thief. => 9Credit will destroy your image and reputation before your employees, family and friends. => In fact, 9credit is more deadly than Covid-19 => They can make you lose your job at any time. The pain they can cause you are endless. Now let go into details My fellow Nairalanders, I will like to use this opportunity to air my view about this deadly loan provider called 9Credit, maybe it might sound personal or as if I am trying to get back at the company for what they did to me but nothing like that though, I am one of their victims but all I want to achieve is to prevent others from falling into their trap. I want to safe some ignorant Nigeria's from HBP or from committing suicide the experience was terrible. We all know that immediately after the introduction of the bank verification number (BVN) the next thing was the emergence of quick loans. Many companies, individuals and even banks jumped into the business and presently we have more than 50 mobile loan apps targeting Nigerians Out of that numerous loan providers, some of them can be helpful and assist you when you need it most. While some will make you regret your life and 9Credit is one of those ones that will make you hate the day you were born. How 9Credit operate and treat their customers Yes, I know that some of you are still in the dark and desire to know what 9Credit did that made me say all sorts of things about them. Well, this is all about the ugly approach 9Credit uses when any of their customers fail to repay their loan, even if it's a few hours or 2 days late. The worst is that when you pay them before the due date they will not update it but will go ahead and take unspeakable action against you even when the loan is as little as 3000 Naira. However, customers are expected to repay their loan before the due date as agreed but let not deny the fact that unavoidable problems can occur at any moment but 9Credit doesn't care to know whether your father just died or whatever problem you might be facing, the only language they hear is their money. kinds of action 9Credit can take against you 9Credit will threaten you and send messages to all your contacts telling them that you took a loan and refused to pay and even tag you a thief or a fraudster even for as little as N3,000. 9Credit will lie against you and tell all your contacts that you used them as a guarantor or emergency number just because you are owing them N3,000 They can as well debit your account and still threaten and send abusive messages to everyone in your phone contact including your parents. The effect of 9Credit action against their customers I don't know what your respect and reputation means to you but for me, I don't have an issue if I don't have any money or struggles to eat but my little respect means everything to me. Obviously, if you care about your reputation stay away from 9Credit because they will reduce you to zero even for 3k. People who respect you will start seeing you as a thief directly or indirectly, one of their customers even lost his job because of 9Credit. Finally, I will attach people's expression about 9Credit. This is the little I can do to keep you informed and help you from becoming a victim sooner or later. If had what it takes to report them to CBN or any appropriate authority that can investigate this by pretending to be a borrower then I wouldn't hesitate to do so but with your voice, they can hear and see what is going on. Share your experience with them and let the world know that 9Credit is a death trap. See comments from their users, I removed their names and photos to keep their privacy intact. 1 Share

willyo:I don't even have the time to exchange words with you but no loan provider have the right to send message to all their customers contacts and address them as a thief or fraudster. They should call police if they have to or report them but that particular action should be condemned and if you support it, you will experience it someday to understand. Who is even talking about trust. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Everest9: You guys want to wreck loan companies. It is the same way you will borrow a friend money and they will start hating or threatening you. Now that you have met your match, you are crying fowl. You claim 3000 Naira is little, yet you refused to pay it. You even wanted them to call you to ask why you haven't paid. I am sure they issued you warnings which you ignored. Loan companies are not your relations. If you want to borrow money that you intend not to pay back or expect the creditors to grovel at your feet, I suggest you borrow from your family or friends. 14 Likes |

opsyswagger:guy this is the first time I will be insulting someone on this platform sir with due respect you are very STUPID as in you are worthless and clueless humanbeing.... Nobody ask the loaner to loaned him money too and mind you before they loan you money they would have gone through ur transactions with the information you have provided for them and they would know ur capability so why going to the extent of spoiling their customers name. Nigeria as a country do borrow and when the nationa can't pay we service our loan. So stop supporting bad thing and best way to deal with is sue them for defamation of character and let them pay damages. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

So no need to spoil someone or damage someone image. 2 Likes |

Temmylee01:Complain? You have never dealt with a debtor in Nigeria. There is nobody to complain to. If you go to court over 3000 Naira, do you know how much it costs to hire a lawyer? How many months of litigation over N3000 that someone refuses to pay? The court can't even recover the money if the debtor claim to be indigent. Do you think you are dealing with your friends here? Don't be naive. If I take a loan and don't want to pay for the next 10 years. There are ways to go about it. Wait till when? When people invest they expect profit not loss. I haven't forgotten how many were boasting of defrauding loan companies and sharing strategies on this platform. I love how these loan companies are dealing with irresponsible borrowers. Immediately they take a loan, they think they must be worshipped and begged before they will pay back. So no need to spoil someone or damage someone image.Don't defraud loan companies and your image will be intact. Borrow from your family and friends, it is that simple. 9 Likes 1 Share |

And if any of my relative members at all now borrow from all this nonsense loaners and they try defaming his name the damage they will pay the whole company might collapse and that will be after they lose their license. ivolt: And all you are trying to say is that 9Credit did well to contact all their customer's contacts and tag them thieves and fraudsters because they are unable to pay after 24 hours not even 2days or 1 week. A loan company that will give your 4k and ask for 6,500 in 7 days and if you miss a few hours payment then you have yourself to blame. Anyway, he who support evil shall be welcomed by it. I don't know how rich you are but one day you will understand in one way or the other. No one borrows without the intention of paying back but my brother somethings are inevitable, what you know is today but what happens tomorrow is what you can't predict. 4 Likes |

Everest9:Always read the terms and conditions. Did they force you to take that loan at that rate and how were you coping before the existence of loan apps? The reason for that rate is due to the proudly fraudulent nature of many Nigerians. The bold is a joke. There are millions of Nigeria who borrow with the intention of not paying back and they consider themselves as being "very smart" for pulling off the fraud. 4 Likes |

Everest9:[b] The bolded is not entirely true .. Wait till you work with the credit dept of a finance firm then your opinion will change. As far back as 2013...group of experts did a research and it was observed that Nigerians are one of the hardest people on earth to do credit business with because majority of Nigerians don't naturally keep to loan agreements and don't like to pay back loan... You know this is true.. Once any customer accepts any loan offer and signs the contract letter.. They are bound by the terms and conditions of the Contract..problem Here is.. Most Nigerians don't read.. If they take time to read some loan offer letters.. Most will not sign it except they are desperate for cash.. I worked in the credit department of a finance firm for 5 years... And now I work in the recovery department of a financial Institution for 2 years+...and I can tell you this..most Nigerians are just bad people when it comes to paying back loans.. They would be all humble and calm when requesting for loan but once they get it.. They turn to tigers and lions and behavior changes.. Except a few.. I have seen.. I speak from experience.. However.. There are other loan recovery methods that should not resort to what these online loan apps do... But from the experience I have.. Once customers miss their due dates..if not handled immediately and in a very strict manner.. It would lead to the beginning of a bad and delinquent loan.. In Nigeria... Debtors majorly pay only those who disturb them the most and give them sleepless nights. Give someone a loan and forget to remind them of them of their payments.. And they will deliberately not pay with the excuse that you did not remind them... Any finance person can confirm this.. I can go on and on I rest my case... In all, Let's try to honour loan contracts and do all we can to pay on or before due dates as not all firms will be tolerant enough to listen to excuses and such repayments determines if the loan firm will survive or not.. I can mention finance firms that have closed shop due to bad loans resulting from customers not making payments. 4 Likes |

Those who own them usually pay extra panalties between 2-30% every 24 hours and it's okay that they disturb their customers by calling and texting them at least for 1 week. But sending text messages out to someone's contacts tagging them thief's and fraudsters for a loan default less than 48 hours is a big NO In fact some of them will even threaten you and tell you what they will do to you if you don't pay them even while the loan has not expired. I still maintain that any loan app capable of sending such messages should be reported and banned. You talk about how hard it is to recover their money but you never talked about the greedness. 4000 to pay 6500 in 7 days, 10,000 to pay 14000+ in 7 days. The truth is, it's only desperation that can make someone go for all this useless lenders. I am warning the general public to stay clear from all this people, whether rich or poor your reputation worth millions and if you don't hear even as little as N3000 will turn you to a thief and fraudster overnight 2 Likes |
